Christian Harris

24-Year-Old LinebackerLB
Houston Texans
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Harris, a budding star in 2023, was limited to just three regular-season games last season. He was coming off a 101-tackle season and prepared to reach the next level in 2024, but a July calf injury lingered, and he aggravated it late in August. Once back on the field in December, Harris injured an ankle and was never 100 percent. He didn't participate in OTAs but was expected to be ready by camp and set to win back a starting job at outside linebacker. Read Past Outlooks

Suits up Saturday
LBHouston Texans
August 24, 2025
Harris recorded two tackles in Saturday's 26-7 preseason win over the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Harris has been sidelined sporadically this offseason by a calf injury that has lingered for the better part of the last calendar year. It's hard to trust his ability to stay on the field as a result, but he should rack up tackles as a key player in the middle of Houston's defense so long as he's healthy.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
The Texans lost personnel up front this offseason, including linebacker and signal-caller Blake Cashman. That means the defense needs players to take on important roles in 2024. Harris, who began 2023 as a part-timer but finished as a full-timer, is expected to take on a larger role. He recorded 101 tackles, second only to Cashman's 106, and should return as an outside linebacker. Azeez Al-Shaair was signed as a free agent from Tennessee and should step into Cashman's spot at middle linebacker.
Harris was a third-round draft pick in the 2022 draft and ended up playing meaningful snaps upon his return from injury Week 7. The Alabama product registered 74 tackles, six for loss, three quarterback hits, one sack and an interception over 12 games. He'll start at outside linebacker.

Entering key year
LBHouston Texans
August 19, 2025
Harris may be heading into his final season with the Texans, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Harris is entering the final season of his rookie contract but has been dealing with a nagging calf injury for the better part of a calendar year. He was limited to only three regular-season games in 2024 due to the issue and has not practiced much during training camp. While Harris has been a strong playmaker when on the field, the Texans may have little choice but to let him depart in free agency if he can't get healthy.
