2025 Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Harmon spent his first three collegiate seasons at Michigan State before transferring to Oregon for the 2024 season. He improved each year and was selected 21st overall by the Steelers in the 2025 NFL Draft. Harmon racked up 45 tackles (27 solo), including five sacks and 11 tackles for a loss, four pass defenses, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 2024. Larry Ogunjobi signed with Buffalo this spring, so Harmon should have a chance to see a full-time role as a rookie. Read Past Outlooks
Out for Week 1
Coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Harmon (knee) will not play in Sunday's Week 1 game against the Jets, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Harmon suffered a sprained MCL on Aug. 21 during a preseason contest and was given a recovery timeline of four-to-six weeks, so his absence for Week 1 doesn't come as a surprise. Logan Lee and Isaiahh Loudermilk figure to see increased reps along Pittsburgh's defensive line.

Sidelined by knee sprain
The injury Harmon suffered in the Steelers' preseason game against the Panthers on Thursday is an MCL sprain, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie first-round pick suffered the injury while trying to reach Panthers quarterback Jack Plummer in the second quarter. Harmon left the field on a cart, but he was back on the Steelers' bench by the fourth quarter, which seemed to portend an injury that wasn't as severe as it originally seemed. However, Pryor reports Harmon is still expected to need several weeks to recover, making him a candidate for short-term injured reserve and a corresponding four-game absence to start the 2025 campaign.
