Dillon Gabriel

24-Year-Old QuarterbackQB
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Gabriel was the first of two quarterbacks drafted by the Browns in April. While he's overshadowed by the other, Shadeur Sanders, Gabriel was third in line during early OTAs. That pattern held up when minicamp began in June. It's a rebuilding season in Cleveland, but it unlikely sees the "future" in either QB. The team also added veterans Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco, who at 40, was the best of the four in OTAs. The Browns are expected to get by with this lot for 2025 before seeking a franchise quarterback in next year's draft, but they'll kick the tires on Gabriel for 17 weeks to see if he's a long-term fit. Ready for team drills
QBCleveland Browns
August 11, 2025
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Gabriel (hamstring) will participate in 11-on-11 drills, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gabriel had been limited in practice for roughly a week due to a hamstring injury, which also forced him to sit out Friday's preseason opener against the Panthers, but he now appears back to full health. With Gabriel, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett (hamstring) and Deshaun Watson (Achilles) all sidelined versus Carolina, fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders got a chance to log substantial exhibition action and impressed with two touchdown passes. Gabriel may have to make up lost ground in Saturday's road preseason game against the Eagles.

Firmly ahead of Sanders
QBCleveland Browns
August 2, 2025
Albert Breer of SI.com relays that Gabriel is ahead of Sanders on the quarterback depth chart and behind Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett.
ANALYSIS
Sanders was unable to participate in Saturday's training camp practice due to arm soreness, and with Pickett sidelined with a hamstring injury, Gabriel and Flacco split first-team reps during team drills. The Browns are heading to Carolina to practice against the Panthers on Wednesday, and Gabriel would stand to see plenty of work with the first-team offense if Pickett is unable to suit up.
