Shut out to conclude campaign
Hodgins did not catch either of his two targets in Sunday's Week 18 victory over Dallas. He finished the campaign with 10 catches on 19 targets for 115 yards and a touchdown over seven games.
ANALYSIS
Hodgins spent training camp with San Francisco before latching on with Pittsburgh's practice squad in mid-September. He was ultimately signed by the Giants, with whom he had spent most of the previous three campaigns. Hodgins put up a solid 7-99-1 line over his final two contests upon his return but then faded dramatically, catching just three of seven targets for 16 yards over his final five games despite posting an offensive snap share north of 80 percent four times during that span. He's slated to become a free agent and may again begin next season on a practice squad somewhere in the league.

Hodgins emerged as one of New York's top wideouts with a productive run near the end of the 2022 season, but he dropped off dramatically last year despite ample opportunity early in the campaign. The Oregon State product re-signed with the Giants in the offseason, but with first-rounder Malik Nabers set to lead the team's receiving corps, Darius Slayton, Wan'Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt still around, and both Allen Robinson and Isaiah McKenzie coming aboard as free agents, it's tough to envision Hodgins being able to carve out much of a role.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could maintain elevated usage
Hodgins could remain a key contributor for the Giants in Week 12 against the Lions, as Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports that Darius Slayton remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring injury.
ANALYSIS
Hodgins stepped up in Slayton's absence against the Packers in Week 11, leading the team with five catches for 57 yards. If Slayton remains sidelined against the Lions, Hodgins will likely continue to work as the team's top downfield option, as Wan'Dale Robinson rarely catches the ball more than a few yards past the line of scrimmage. Hodgins would likely get some opportunities to make plays downfield against a banged-up Lions secondary regardless of whether the Giants start Jameis Winston at quarterback again or Jaxson Dart returns from a concussion.
