Rest-of-Season Projections
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Gibbens put together the beginnings of a breakout campaign in 2023, but he missed the final three contests with a back injury. This season, he's set up to work alongside Kenneth Murray at inside linebacker. The team's swap of Azeez Al-Shaair should have a positive impact on Gibbens' playing time, as he's now the superior option in coverage amongst the team's linebackers, which in turn should give him the opportunity to stay on the field for all three downs. That will be a role that plays out more formally during training camp, but Gibbens should be in the position to rack up a ton of tackles in 2024. Read Past Outlooks
Out for season
Gibbens (ankle) will undergo surgery Monday and miss the remainder of the season, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gibbens was carted off the field during Sunday's loss to the Vikings and was quickly ruled out for the remainder of the game. According to Fowler, the 25-year-old is facing a four-month recovery timeline, which should allow him to participate in any offseason training programs. However, Gibbens is set to be a free agent in March, so that won't necessarily be with the Titans.

On track to win starting role
Gibbens has consistently been ahead of Monty Rice in the competition for the starting inside linebacker role alongside Azeez Al-Shaair, Joe Rexrode of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Gibbens appeared in five games, including two starts, after signing with Tennessee as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He logged 28 tackles in that campaign but described himself as "so timid, so unsure of myself" during his rookie season. Gibbens is playing with far more confidence so far in camp, which has him on track to earn a starting spot over Rice, whom Tennessee selected in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
