2022 Fantasy Outlook
Dotson is the first-round rookie wideout most likely to be overlooked in fantasy drafts. That's
partially because he was a second-rounder in most mock drafts, and partially because he
landed in a Washington offense with Carson Wentz at quarterback and Terry McLaurin as the
No. 1 receiver. The recent history of poor organizational management doesn't help, to say the
least, and competition for targets could be tough this year if WR Curtis Samuel and TE Logan
Thomas manage to get healthy and stay that way. On the other hand, Dotson is a strong
prospect if you press pause on the noise around him, coming out of Penn State with 2,757
career receiving yards, including 2,066 (and 20 TDs) in 21 games in his final two seasons. That
production — about 100 yards and a TD per game — puts him right in line with other first-round
wideouts, as does his 4.43 40-yard dash from the 2022 Combine. Dotson's a bit on the thin side
at 5-11, 182, but he has the speed and polish to push for No. 2 WR status in Washington early
in the season. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS

Solid numbers to wrap up season
Dotson caught three of four targets for 72 yards in Sunday's 26-6 win over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Sam Howell was making his first career start at quarterback and attempted only 19 passes, but Dotson was still able to flash his big-play ability. The 2022 first-round pick completes his first NFL season with 35 catches on 61 targets for 523 yards and seven TDs, and while Dotson took a back seat to Terry McLaurin in 2022, the duo could be on more equal footing in the Washington passing game next year -- whether Howell, or a veteran import, is slinging balls their way.
