2025 Fantasy Outlook
Woods has missed back-to-back full seasons due to injuries, (hamstring issues in 2023 and turf toe in 2024) and whatever chance the 2022 third-round pick once had of emerging as the Colts' top tight end officially vanished following the team's selection of rookie first-rounder Tyler Warren. After being let go during final roster cut-downs, Woods was claimed by the Jets to bolster the the depth of their tight end corps. Read Past Outlooks
Done for season
Jets head coach Aaron Glenn announced Friday that Woods (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's season finale against New England.
ANALYSIS
Woods appeared in four games with New York in 2025 after having spent the prior two years on injured reserve with the Colts due to hamstring and toe injuries. Across his appearances with the Jets, he secured one of three targets for four yards. Woods is slated to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and continued concerns about his ability to stay healthy will likely limit the amount of interest he receives from teams around the league.

2022
Woods had a promising rookie season in 2022, catching 25 of 40 targets for 312 yards and three touchdowns, which was enough for at least a share of the team lead among tight ends in both categories. He didn’t get a chance to build on that campaign last year, sitting out the entire 2023 season due to a hamstring injury. In Woods’ absence, four Colts tight ends had between 147 and 368 receiving yards, and that group combined to score six touchdowns. All of those players are still around to compete for playing time in 2024, but Woods’ 6-foot-7, 253-pound frame gives him the highest red-zone ceiling of the group, and he’s reportedly healthy heading into training camp.

On Colts' roster bubble?
In his latest projection, James Boyd of The Athletic has Woods omitted from the Colts' 53-man roster.
ANALYSIS
Boyd has Mo Alie-Cox, Kylen Granson, Will Mallory and Drew Ogletree as the four tight ends to make Indianapolis' final roster, with Woods on the outside looking in. Woods missed the entire 2023 season due to injuries to both hamstrings, but he entered training camp healthy and finished with one catch for 17 yards in the Colts' preseason opener against the Broncos. Woods has two more preseason contests to make a case for himself for the final 53-man roster.
