2023 Projections

Good to go for Week 9
Johnson (ankle) was not listed on the Jets' injury report Wednesday ahead of Sunday's game versus Buffalo, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing the Jets' last three contests with an ankle injury he sustained Week 5 versus Miami, Johnson appears to be back to full capacity ahead of Week 9. The Jets will likely ease their rookie first-rounder back into action in a game where they'll be heavy underdogs regardless.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Viewed by some as a possible top-10 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Johnson slid to No. 26 before the Jets traded back into the first round to snag him. Coming off a productive senior season at Florida State that included 11.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss, Johnson should immediately bolster a Jets pass rush that has been lacking an effective edge rusher for years. Even if Carl Lawson comes back healthy from an Achilles' injury that kept him out for all of last season, Johnson should see plenty of playing time from the get-go in an edge rotation with Lawson and the versatile John-Franklin Myers.
