2025 Fantasy Outlook
Re-signed to Kansas City on a one-year, $1.5 million contract, Hunt gives the Chiefs a stable option in the backfield who knows the Andy Reid offense and almost never fumbles. The Chiefs were desperate to find such stability when Isiah Pacheco suffered a fractured fibula in September, so they were content with Hunt as starter given the circumstances. What's less clear is whether the Chiefs have as much use for Hunt if the circumstances were less desperate -- if Pacheco and free agent pickup Elijah Mitchell are fully healthy, for instance, would there be a function for Hunt to serve at that point? Mitchell is a major durability problem and Pacheco is on his way to the same distinction, so it would be surprising if Hunt were to leave the Chiefs before 2026, but Hunt doesn't have much from-scrimmage explosiveness left with age 30 coming up in August. Extends TD streak in loss
Hunt carried the ball 13 times for 59 yards and a touchdown and caught one of two targets for three yards in Sunday's 22-19 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
The veteran running back got into the end zone for a third straight game when he punched home a two-yard TD in the third quarter. Hunt's 62 scrimmage yards were also a season high, as he continues to need those touchdowns to keep his fantasy relevance. Through 10 games, he's produced just 419 scrimmage yards but has seven totals TDs -- six on the ground and one through the air. Hunt will look to hit paydirt again in Week 12 against the Colts.

Hunt remained unsigned to begin 2023, but when Nick Chubb went down with a season-ending knee injury Week 2, the Browns turned to a familiar face to help fill the massive hole in their backfield. Hunt got a lot of his work in the red zone, scoring nine rushing touchdowns despite averaging just 3.0 yards per carry while Jerome Ford handled a lead role. Hunt is a free agent again this offseason, but Cleveland has added more depth in case Chubb isn't 100 percent, bringing in D'Onta Foreman and Nyheim Hines. It's unclear if Hunt will find a home for his age-29 season, and he'll likely have to compete for a roster spot if/when he does.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Set for Week 9 lead role
Hunt is in line to get most of the carries Sunday against the Bills in Isiah Pacheco's expected absence, per ESPN's Nate Taylor.
ANALYSIS
Pacheco is considered week-to-week due to a sprained MCL, and he's expected to sit out against Buffalo. Hunt has logged 62 rushing attempts to Pacheco's 78 this season. Hunt has been slightly less efficient, averaging 4.0 yards per carry compared to Pacheco's 4.2, but Hunt has been more opportunistic, recording four rushing touchdowns compared to Pacheco's one. Brashard Smith, who has 25 carries this season, could also take on a larger role.
