2025 Fantasy Outlook
Lloyd entered the NFL with some promise as a third-round pick in 2024, but multiple lower-body injuries and a case of appendicitis limited him to just one regular-season appearance and only six carries. The USC product had ball security issues in college but otherwise possessed a three-down skill set and impressive athletic tools, so if he's able to stay healthy, he could make an impact at the top backup to Josh Jacobs. The Packers made no additions to their backfield this season, suggesting they are optimistic Lloyd will be able to contribute. Read Past Outlooks

Practicing without restrictions
Lloyd (appendix) has no restrictions at practice and is slated to be a full participant when Green Bay's OTAs begin May 27, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Lloyd was limited to just one appearance in his rookie season, first due to a hamstring injury sustained during the Packers' preseason opener, then an ankle sprain that required seven weeks on IR to heal, and finally appendicitis that popped up just after his practice window opened. Now that he's healthy, the 2024 third-rounder again faces opportunity to compete for the No. 2 role behind workhorse Josh Jacobs. Green Bay didn't make notable additions to the running back room in free agency or April's draft, though Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks proved capable last season and remain on hand. Lloyd boasts playmaking speed and pass-catching chops, but after having missed most of training camp and the regular season in Year 1, he may still have developmental work to do relating to the ball-security issues that plagued him in college.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Not many running backs are as toolsy as Lloyd, who ran a 4.46-second 40-yard dash at a conspicuously muscular 5-9, 220. He was a worthwhile developmental pick in the third round for a Packers team with few glaring needs and a new lead back in Josh Jacobs. Lloyd has potential to be a big-play threat both as a runner and receiver, and with either power or speed. There are at least two obstacles for now, however. The first is that Jacobs was paid handsomely and has an established track record handling huge workloads. The second is that Lloyd was one of the worst fumblers in recent college football history, coughing it up 10 times on 325 career touches. The ball-security issues might also explain why he never got more than 116 carries in a season, even last year at USC when he averaged 7.1 YPC and took 13 catches for 232 yards. The Packers can afford to be patient with Lloyd, perhaps even starting him off as the No. 3 back behind both Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could have big role in 2025
Lloyd is fully healthy after an injury-plagued 2024 season, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Selected in the third round of the 2024 Draft, Lloyd never got a chance to compete for a meaningful role in the Packers backfield as a rookie due to multiple lower-body injuries. Josh Jacobs is entrenched as Green Bay's bell-cow back, but if Lloyd can stay healthy this season, he'll be given the opportunity to leapfrog Emanuel Wilson on the depth chart and claim the No. 2 spot, a job which provided Wilson with 103 carries and 11 catches on 14 targets over 17 regular-season games last year.
