Moves to Windy City
The Bears and Zaccheaus have agreed to terms of a contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus had a bounceback with Washington last year, forming a nice pairing with rookie QB Jayden Daniels to the tune of 45 catches for 506 yards and three touchdowns on 64 targets over 20 games between the regular season and playoffs. With veteran WR Keenan Allen hitting free agency this week, Zaccheaus will fill the opening left behind alongside DJ Moore and Rome Odunze while getting to work with another signal-caller from the 2024 class in Caleb Williams.

Zaccheaus will be on his third team in as many seasons in 2024 after catching 10 passes in 17 games for the Eagles last year and ultimately failing to unseat Quez Watkins from the No. 3 role. The 27-year-old might have another chance to compete for No. 3 status in Washington, where the Commanders otherwise appear to have Luke McCaffrey and Dyami Brown competing for regular roles behind top receiver Terry McLaurin. It was only two years ago that Zaccheaus caught 40 passes for 533 yards as a 13-game starter for Atlanta, but he probably profiles best as a fourth or fifth receiver.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Will be WR2 against Atlanta
Zaccheaus will be the Commanders' No. 2 wideout behind Terry McLaurin on Sunday against the Falcons due to Dyami Brown being ruled out with a hamstring injury.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus had his best game of the 2024 campaign this past Sunday against the Eagles, during which he caught five passes on eight targets for 80 yards and two touchdowns while playing a season-high 46 snaps on offense. Brown injured his hamstring during that game, and Zaccheaus is in line for a bigger role in Week 17 due to the former's absence. Zaccheaus spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Falcons and had his most productive season in 2022 with Atlanta, when he logged 40 catches on 61 targets for 533 yards and two touchdowns across 17 regular-season games.
