2025 Fantasy Outlook
A 2023 second-round pick, Martin made five starts as a rookie and 16 last season, moving into a full-time role and playing 942 snaps. He forced three fumbles along the way, and he could improve on last year's total of 87 tackles after Jeremy Chinn (117 tackles) left Washington this offseason. Read Past Outlooks
Four stops in loss
Martin recorded four total tackles (one solo) in Sunday's 16-13 overtime loss to the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Martin played just 65 percent of the team's defensive snaps, leading to his lowest amount of solo stops since Week 4. Backup safety Darnell Savage was on the field for 26 snaps on defense, his highest total since Week 7, potentially siphoning off some of Martin's workload. Martin has now compiled 71 total tackles (38 solo), two passes defensed and a forced fumble over 11 contests this season.

The Commanders picked Martin 47th overall this April, after taking CB Emmanuel Forbes in the first round. The Washington secondary thus gets much faster, as Forbes ran a 4.35 40 at the combine and Martin a 4.46 (with a 133-inch broad jump and 44-inch vertical). Those numbers make Martin one of the most athletic safeties in the league, but he might be only the team's third player at the position as a rookie, given that the Commanders got solid play from both Kamren Curl and Darrick Forrest last season.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be top-75 pick
Martin has generated buzz among a number of scouts and could be a Day 2 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Jordan Reid of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The defensive back out of Illinois was injured during Senior Bowl practices, which might have hurt his draft stock, but his versatility and instincts shine on tape and made a big impression at the Scouting Combine. Martin could wind up being selected early by a team that values his ability to play multiple spots in the secondary while also being a big contributor on special teams.
