Staying with Big Blue
The Giants re-signed DeVito on Saturday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
DeVito appeared in three games (including two starts) during the 2024 regular season and completed 31 of 44 passes for 257 yards with zero touchdowns while adding eight carries for 32 yards. With Drew Lock and Tim Boyle expected to hit free agency, DeVito is the only QB currently under contract with the Giants, though New York is expected to sign a veteran quarterback like Aaron Rodgers or Sam Darnold in free agency or target younger options like Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
DeVito enjoyed a brief Cinderella run after taking over for the injured Daniel Jones as the Giants' starting quarterback in Week 10 of the 2023 season, with his most memorable performance being a 246-yard, three-touchdown performance against Washington in Week 11. The glimmer eventually faded, however, and by Week 16 the undrafted 25-year-old had given way to Tyrod Taylor as New York's top signal-caller. Taylor signed with the Jets in the offseason, but Jones is expected to be ready to return for the start of the coming campaign, and the Giants added Drew Lock to presumably take over as their No. 2 QB, so DeVito could begin the season on the practice squad.

No longer sole QB on roster
DeVito has been joined on the Giants' quarterback depth chart by Jameis Winston, who signed a two-year deal with New York on Friday per Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
DeVito had been the sole quarterback on the Giants' roster before Winston's signing. The third-year signal-caller saw limited action in 2024 despite the in-season release of Daniel Jones, completing 31 of 44 passes for 257 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and adding 32 rushing yards on eight carries. While DeVito does have the experience edge over Winston in head coach Brian Daboll's offensive scheme, Winston's $8 million contract suggests he'll slot ahead of DeVito on the depth chart in 2025.
