Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Jefferson saw an increase in role in 2024 as a Steeler, logging the second-most offensive snaps in his career (683). However, his productive as a receiver was still relatively limited, as he finished the season with only 24 receptions and 276 yards. Jefferson moved on from Pittsburgh during the offseason and signed a modest one-year, $2.5 million deal with the Titans. At the time of his signing, it appeared that he could handle a significant role. However, the team added both Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike during the draft while also inking Tyler Lockett after Jefferson signed. Jefferson is still likely make the roster out of training camp, and could on the field regularly to begin the season. However, his impact has proven to be limited even with a relatively full snap count, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him phased out of the offense if one or both of Ayomanor or Dike can prove themselves. Limited practice Thursday
Jefferson (ankle) practiced in limited fashion Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was unable to practice in any capacity Wednesday, so his activity Thursday was a step in the right direction. There should be a clearer picture of his potential availability for a Week 6 matchup against Las Vegas on Friday, depending on whether he can avoid an injury designation.

Jefferson has regressed in each season since posting 821 yards in 2021. Ultimately, Jefferson is best cast as a rotational receiver. Even if the receiver sees a solid snap share, the expectation is that the Steelers will be a run-heavy team. In terms of targets, George Pickens should dominate, leaving little for the ancillary receivers. After being targeted 43 and 44 times over the past two seasons, Jefferson could see similar work this year in Pittsburgh. Consequently, a 300-yard season would be considered a success.

Could be bargain WR2 for Titans
Daniel Popper of The Athletic believes Jefferson's contract with the Titans could be among the best bargains in the 2025 free-agent class.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson has a nice opportunity to win the starting wide receiver job opposite Calvin Ridley in Tennessee. If Jefferson can do so, he should have little trouble outperforming his one-year, $2.5 million deal in Tennessee. Jefferson's best season came with the Rams in 2021, when he posted 802 receiving yards and six touchdowns in the regular season.
