The Saturday schedule of games for daily fantasy purposes starts at 5:00 PM ET, so you should be able to slip in a lunch, or early bird dinner, before you have to get your lineup in. Here are my recommendations based on the six games at hand.
GOALIE
Jacob Markstrom, VAN vs. NYI ($7,800): While Markstrom's overall numbers are in line with his numbers the last few seasons, he does have a 2.50 GAA and .923 save percentage in his last 13 outings. The Islanders have only managed 28.4 shots on net per game, which is the second lowest in the NHL. However, on the road that number drops even further to 26.3 shots on goal per contest.
CENTER
Logan Couture, SAN at CLM ($6,100): Couture has tallied two points in three of his last five games. That gives him 55 points on the season. The Blue Jackets had to play in Ottawa on Friday night, so fatigue could be a factor in this one. Additionally, Joonas Korpisalo and his .896 save percentage will definitely be a factor.
Vincent Trocheck, FLA vs. LOS ($5,300): Trocheck has been held to 32 games this season which, combined with his shockingly low 5.7 percent shooting, explains why he has only 21 points. However, despite all that, he's still managed to notch 10 points with the extra man. Now he gets to face a Kings team that happens to rank 30th on the penalty kill.
WING
Josh Anderson, CLM vs. SAN ($5,200): Anderson has been racking up goals with gusto recently. After scoring Friday night, he has seven goals in his last 11 games, giving him 22 total in 60 contests. Now the Blue Jackets also have Matt Duchene in the lineup, who only boosts the talent on this team. Though the Jackets are on a back-to-back, the Sharks have been awful defensively on the road. They have a 3.50 GAA and .884 save percentage in away games.
Tyler Toffoli, LOS at FLA ($4,500): Though Toffoli doesn't have a point in his last four games, prior to that he had 11 points in 10 contests. He's also shooting at a career-low 7.1 percent clip, so some more puck luck could always be around the corner. Either way, the Panthers have a 3.37 GAA, third highest in the NHL.
Kevin Fiala, NAS vs. COL ($3,900): Fiala has taken a step back from the 23 goals he notched last season, but he's currently skating on Nashville's top line. He's also started 64.8 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone. That's only fifth on the Predators, but it would top a lot of teams. The Avalanche, who are on the road for the second game of a back-to-back, will likely start Philipp Grubauer in net. The German goalie has a 3.42 GAA and .890 save percentage.
DEFENSE
Oscar Klefbom, EDM vs. ANA ($5,100): Klefbom is rounding into form after returning from injury. Over his last six games he has three points and 21 shots on goal. Putting pucks on net has been commonplace for the Swede in his career, as he's had over 200 shots in each of his last two seasons. Meanwhile, the Ducks, who are on the road for the second game of a back-to-back, have allowed 34.6 shots on net per game away from home.
Ryan Ellis, NAS vs. COL ($5,000): Ellis has 32 points in 63 games, which isn't as impressive as when he did it in 44 games last year, but is still quite good. He's also playing a career high in minutes and power-play minutes. Colorado has a 3.39 GAA on the road, and is also on the second leg of a back-to-back. In addition to his offensive promise, Ellis has 120 blocked shots this year.
