GOALIE
Carey Price, MON vs. CLM ($8,600): The Carey Price from the glory days has been back in 2019. In 15 games since the beginning of the new year he has a 2.04 GAA and .936 save percentage. Though the Blue Jackets usually have a good offense, they are on the road for the second game of a back-to-back, so I am less concerned about that.
CENTER
Sebastian Aho, CAR vs. NYR ($7,500): Aho is turning into a franchise player before our eyes. Thanks to 16 points in his 12 games, he's notched 67 points in 59 contests. Now he gets to face a Rangers team with a 4.04 GAA on the road. Hey, if things break right, Aho might hit the 70-point mark for the first time in his career.
Jesperi Kotkaniemi, MON vs. CLM ($4,800): Kotkaniemi was the third-overall pick in the most-recent NHL Draft, and he's shown his potential in spurts. However, the Finn has started 62.6 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, highest on the Canadiens, and he's averaged 2:10 per game with the extra man as well. Though the Blue Jackets saved Sergei Bobrovsky for this start, he has a 3.24 GAA and .888 save percentage in his last 15 outings, so it's not much of a deterrent.
WING
Zach Parise, MIN vs. ANA ($6,700): Parise's still got it, if this season is any indication. The 34-year-old has stayed healthy, and he's notched 23 goals on 189 shots through 58 games. Anaheim has seen its GAA soar to 3.33, not helped by the fact it has allowed 34.7 shots on net per contest.
Sam Reinhart, BUF at FLA ($5,400): Being moved off Buffalo's top line hasn't slowed Reinhart down, as he has a point in his last two games. Of course, the fact he's still getting plenty of power-play time, and has averaged 3:16 with the extra man, helps. As for the Panthers, they have a 3.39 GAA, which is fourth highest in the NHL.
Bryan Rust, PIT at NJD ($5,300): Rust is still on his team's top line, though, which means skating alongside the dynamic duo of Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel. It's paid off, as he has 16 goals, a new personal best, in 58 games. While the Panthers have the fourth-highest GAA, the Devils are third with a 3.41 GAA.
DEFENSE
Shayne Gostisbehere, PHI vs. TAM ($5,400): Gostisbehere has had a down season by his standards, but he's still started 56.1 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone. That's highest on the Flyers. Recently, though, he's looked like the old Ghost. In his last eight games he's notched seven points, including four with the extra man. Since the Lightning are playing their second game in as many nights, Louis Domingue (2.90 GAA, .907 save percentage) will likely be in net.
Dougie Hamilton, CAR vs. NYR ($4,700): Hamilton has been active offensively this season, as he has 182 shots on net through 59 games. That's helped him net 10 goals, even though he's only managed one with the extra man. He should be able to put more pucks on goal in this one. In addition to their 4.04 road GAA, the Rangers have given up 35.2 shots on net per contest in away games.
