SLATE PREVIEW
St. Louis (vs. Anaheim), Utah (at San Jose) and Philadelphia (vs. Pittsburgh) are the biggest favorites on the Moneyline. The over/under for Jets-Sabres and Ducks-Blues is 6.5 goals, while the Blue Jackets-Devils and Mammoth-Sharks matchups anticipate 6.0 goals being scored. The Penguins-Flyers contest is expected to yield 5.0 goals.
GOALIES
Dan Vladar, PHI vs. PIT ($7,800): Vladar has won his last four outings, stopping 113 of the 123 shots he has faced. He has a 10-4-1 record this season with a 2.43 GAA and a .912 save percentage. Samuel Ersson would be a decent option as well after he stopped 24 of 26 shots in a 3-2 shootout win over Pittsburgh on Oct. 28.
Yaroslav Askarov, SJS vs. UTA ($7,600): Askarov was superb in November, posting a record of 8-2-0 with a 1.88 GAA and a .944 save percentage. He struggled against Utah earlier in the season, allowing six goals on 34 shots in a 6-3 defeat, but his red-hot play following a sluggish start makes him an intriguing value option between the pipes.
VALUE PLAYS/ONE-OFFS
Macklin Celebrini, SJS vs. UTA ($7,900): Celebrini has registered four goals, 11 points and 23 shots in his last eight games. He has two goals and five assists on the power play during that span. In two previous outings versus Utah this season, Celebrini has four goals on seven shots and five points.
Cutter Gauthier, ANA at STL ($7,900): Gauthier has racked up 29 shots while scoring three times and adding six assists over his last seven matches. He has earned a multi-point performance in three of the past four games.
Robert Thomas, STL vs. ANA ($5,400): Thomas has notched one goal and two assists during a three-game point streak. He has amassed six goals and eight helpers in his last 10 appearances versus the Ducks.
FORWARD LINE STACKS
Jets at Sabres
Mark Scheifele (C - $7,200), Kyle Connor (W - $7,300), Gabriel Vilardi (W - $5,900)
Scheifele has reached the scoresheet in seven of the last eight games, registering four goals, 10 points and 18 shots over that stretch. Connor has failed to pick up at least one point on only two occasions over his past 10 outings. He has compiled four goals, eight assists and 30 shots during that stretch. Vilardi has lit the lamp five times on 11 shots while adding two helpers in five contests heading into Monday night's action.
Winnipeg's top line has been firing on all cylinders, and they should remain hot against a Buffalo team that has surrendered the sixth-most goals per game (3.44) and shots per game (30.3) in the league this season.
Devils vs. Blue Jackets
Nico Hischier (C - $6,700), Jesper Bratt (W - $5,800), Timo Meier (W - $6,600)
Hischier has generated five goals on 14 shots and five assists during his five-game point spree. Bratt has contributed six assists and 11 shots on goal during that five-game span, while Meier has four goals, three helpers and 18 shots across his five-game point streak.
New Jersey's top line has been productive, and they all feature on the team's top power-play unit. Columbus sits 27th in the league in penalty killing proficiency on the campaign.
DEFENSEMEN
Josh Morrissey, WPG at BUF ($6,600): Morrissey slowed down a bit following a red-hot start to November, but he has four goals, 12 points, 15 shots and 21 blocks in his last 11 appearances. He also has one goal and four assists on the power play during that time. Morrissey has two multi-point efforts in his past three meetings with the Sabres, collecting one goal, three helpers and 11 shots.
Olen Zellweger, ANA at STL ($5,000): Zellweger has three goals on 10 shots and one assist during a four-game point streak. He possesses plenty of bang for the buck upside if his production carries over into Monday's slate.
