SLATE PREVIEW
There are five games in the NHL on Friday. New Jersey hosts Vegas, Buffalo travels to Winnipeg, San Jose goes to Dallas, Utah travels to Vancouver and Washington plays in Anaheim. Below, you'll find suggested options for crafting an effective lineup.
GOALIES
Logan Thompson, WSH at ANA ($7,900): Thompson has won four straight games, where he's only allowed a combined five goals to boost his record to 12-6-1 with a 2.02 GAA and .919 save percentage.
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, BUF at WPG ($7,400): The Sabres have recently been giving Luukkonen half the goaltending starts with Colten Ellis and Alex Lyon splitting the remainder. He's also won three of his last four outings and will face a Jets team on Friday that hasn't looked the same without Connor Hellebuyck.
VALUE PLAYS
Jake DeBrusk, VAN vs. UTAH ($4,900): DeBrusk has gone scoreless over the last four straight, yet still has eight goals on the season while averaging a career-high 3:48 on the power play where he's delivered seven of his eight markers.
Beckett Sennecke, ANA vs. WSH ($4,800): Sennecke saw his eight-game point streak end on Wednesday, but he's enjoying an outstanding debut campaign at 20 points that puts him even for the league rookie top spot with Ivan Demidov.
FORWARD LINE STACKS
Sharks at Stars
Macklin Celebrini (C - $7,800), Will Smith (W - $6,400), Tyler Toffoli (W - $4,600)
This trio has been outstanding led by Celebrini at 14 goals and 26 assists. Smith is another youngster on a breakout campaign with 27 points, including five goals from his last four games. Toffoli is at seven goals and 11 assists overall, including two and four across four appearances.
Capitals at Ducks
Alex Ovechkin (W - $7,300), Dylan Strome (C - $5,900), Anthony Beauvillier (W - $4,100)
Ovechkin got off to a slow start with only two goals in his first 12 outings, but has since gone on to tally 12 goals and 10 assists. Strome has produced six goals and 16 assists while Beauvillier has racked up two goals and two assists from his last five games. This line also comes in at a reasonable combined salary for your DFS lineups.
DEFENSEMEN
Miro Heiskanen, DAL vs. SJ ($6,700): Heiskanen has been on fire the last month with two goals and 17 helpers in 16 games. He's also accumulated 24 points overall, with 10 of those coming on the power play.
Sean Durzi, UTA at VAN ($4,300): Durzi is rounding into form after missing 21 matchups with an upper-body injury. He picked up an assist on Wednesday to give him two from his first seven outings and offers offensive upside having produced 41 points two years ago.
