ANALYSIS
The finish is all anyone is going to talk about, and it was very nice, but overall, this was a middling performance from Susurkaev considering he entered as a -1000 favorite. He landed a pair of takedowns in addition to the huge knockout, although Susurkaev struggled to generate consistent offense and his cardio didn't appear to be particularly strong. The 24-year-old Russian has an immense amount of upside, but there are almost certainly going to be some bumps in the road along the way.

Susurkaev can be hit, and seems a bit too comfortable letting shots bounce off his guard. Still, he is a legitimate finisher with a diverse skill set. This, along with the fact that he is a training partner of middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev, could see him fast-tracked up the ranks.
