Fighting Ramos in March
FeatherweightUFC
January 24, 2025
Mariscal will fight Ricardo Ramos at UFC Vegas 103 on March 1, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Mariscal's win over Damon Jackson in August gave him his fourth victory in as many fights since joining the UFC in 2023. He'll now look to make it five in a row against Ramos, who has lost two of his last three bouts but will have a size advantage over Mariscal.

Dominant win after weight miss
FeatherweightUFC
August 10, 2024
Mariscal defeated Damon Jackson via unanimous decision (30-25, 30-26, 30-25) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Marsical looked fantastic and would deserve all the credit in the world for this performance had he not missed weight by 3.5 pounds Friday morning. Once the bell rang, he was dominant. Over the course of the 15-minute bout, Chepe closed with a 218-49 edge in total strikes landed, in addition to connecting on 5-of-7 takedown attempts for 8:31 worth of control time. The toughness of Jackson was the only reason this fight went the distance. Mariscal has real potential if he can get the weight-cutting issues under control. He remains perfect in his first four UFC bouts.
Misses featherweight limit
FeatherweightUFC
August 9, 2024
Mariscal missed the featherweight limit by 3.5 pounds ahead of his scheduled bout with Damon Jackson for the co-main event at UFC Vegas 95 on Saturday, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Mariscal weighed in at 149.5 pounds. It's a borderline weight miss, but he'll likely need to come to some sort of agreement with Jackson in order for this fight to continue.
New opponent scheduled
FeatherweightUFC
July 10, 2024
Mariscal is scheduled to compete against Damon Jackson in a featherweight fight at UFC Vegas 95 on Aug. 10, per Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.
ANALYSIS
Mariscal was initially expected to fight Dan Ige. However, Ige was brought in as Brian Ortega's replacement to compete against Diego Lopes, a scheduled fight set as compensation for the event's initial headline Conor McGregor backing out. Instead, Mariscal will fight Jackson next, with both fighters looking to build a winning streak following their victories at UFC Vegas 90.
New opponent steps in
FeatherweightUFC
June 25, 2024
Mariscal is set to face Dan Ige at UFC Vegas 94 on July 20, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Mariscal has three consecutive wins after defeating Morgan Charriere back in April. "Machine Gun" will face Dan Ige, who is also coming off a victory after a first-round KO. This should turn out to be an interesting matchup as Ige's power will go up against Chepe's stamina, setting the stage for an exciting bout.
Finishes strong to earn victory
FeatherweightUFC
April 6, 2024
Mariscal defeated Morgan Charriere via split decision (29-28, 27-30, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Mariscal is an easy guy to root for. His physical gifts would be considered average, at best, for this level, but his work ethic is exceptional, as is his cardio. Mariscal trains at altitude every single day with the crew at the Elevation Fight Team in Colorado and it shows up on fight night. This fight could have literally gone either way, but Mariscal picked up the pace in the final couple minutes to pull ahead for good. This isn't a skill set that typically leads to prolonged winning streaks, but Chepe has a shot every single time he steps into the octagon simply because of how hard he works.
