Best Bets for CFB Conference Championship Games (Dec. 6)
Best Bets for (4) Texas Tech vs (11) BYU | LJ Martin: Anytime Touchdown (+120)
Texas Tech has been phenomenal on defense, allowing 20+ points twice this season. In fact, the Red Raiders have only allowed 10+ points in four of their last five games. So, what's the appeal on Martin here?
For one, Texas Tech is probably going to make the CFB Playoff whether they win or lose, and I'm not sure that defense will be as dominant as usual; BYU is fighting for its postseason livelihood here, so we could see quite a few tricky plays to pull the upset. Martin has also gained 100+ total yards in three straight games, including a massive 266-total-yard game (222 rush yds, 44 rec yds) two weeks ago. During that aforementioned three-game stretch, Martin has found the end zone six times.
All in all, Martin has been involved quite a bit as BYU heads down the stretch, and he should see as many opportunities as he can handle this afternoon. I'm pretty damn sure one of those touches is going to find paydirt.
Best Bets for (3) Georgia vs (9) Alabama | Under 47.5 Points (-105)
This will be the second time these teams have faced each other this season, with the previous matchup drawing an Alabama 24-21 win in Athens. Both teams are in elite company defensively, ranking 12th (BAMA) and 13th (UGA), respectively, while also going under the total in 58% of their games this season.
Bama hasn't been great on offense over the last five games, with the lone exception being a 56-0 win against Eastern Illinois. A few weeks ago, the Tide struggled quite a bit against Oklahoma, which Georgia profiles very similarly to. As time has gone on, Bama has been uncovered as a one-dimensional team, only producing a single 100-yard rusher in any game this season.
Georgia actually played its regular-season finale at the Georgia Dome, winning 16-9 against in-state rival Georgia Tech. We could certainly make the argument the Dawgs got caught looking ahead in that one, but it ain't getting easier one way or another. I feel like Georgia should be a much bigger favorite today, so that is giving me some skepticism in seeing them at -2.5. This likely leads to one of those old-fashioned SEC defensive battles between two familiar teams.
Best Bets for (1) Ohio State vs (2) Indiana | Bo Jackson: Over 70.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Jackson has been running wild, going for 100+ yards in four of his last five games – and 5+ yards per attempt in each of them. The most impressive part of this is that Jackson has only received 20+ carries once this season (last week at Michigan), so we're getting fresh legs here!
Indiana is a fun story and all, but they're allowing 5.5 yards per attempt this season. And it's not like this team has played a tough schedule, so matching up against the big boys on Ohio State's O-line probably won't come easily.
It seems like Ohio State should be a much bigger favorite in this game, but I think taking Jackson's rushing prop is game-script proof. The freshman has broken off runs of 30+ yards in three of the five games where he's rushed for 100+ yards, and one of those would basically get us halfway where we need to be.

- Alabama-Georgia: Under 47.5 Points (-105)
