Race Preview
Myatt Snider won his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race last week at Homestead Miami Speedway. The race had been dominated by Noah Gragson until a lapped car crashed in front of him, leaving him with nowhere to go and out of the race. Austin Cindric finished fifth, which was enough to keep him atop the points standings. Jeb Burton is the only other driver to have finished in the top five in all three races so far this season. They will try to keep those streaks alive this week at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where Chase Briscoe swept victories last season. This will be the 28th Xfinity race at the track that has produced 19 different winners so far.

Only four Xfinity races at Las Vegas have been won by drivers starting outside of the top 10, and no one has done that since Mark Martin in 2008. Eight of the last 10 races at the track have been won by drivers starting in one of the two front rows, too. Track position matters at Las Vegas, and those drivers starting in the front will have an advantage. The two races at the track last season featured relatively few cautions, which allowed teams with faster cars over long runs to stretch their leads, lapping nearly half of the field in both races. Like most 1.5-mile ovals, though, late cautions can shake things up. Being quick and mistake-free on pit road can help drivers make up some spots on track, but losing track position on pit road or restarts will be a challenge to overcome.

Gragson had another Homestead win slip through his fingers last week. His four sixth-place or better finishes from four Las Vegas starts make him a good option this week, however. Penske Racing's Cindric is a usual suspect for fantasy rosters, too. He has three top-five finishes to start the season and shows no signs of letting up now. Cindric finished second and sixth in the two Las Vegas races last season with 49 laps led. Michael Annett has also been delivering the goods at Las Vegas recently. His last four starts have given him three top-10s and an 11th-place finish. He finished seventh in both races here last season and led eight laps in the fall. Burton has had a tremendous start to this season with three consecutive top-five finishes on vastly different circuits. He has one series start at Las Vegas, back in 2016, when he finished 17th. Jeremy Clements is also off to a good start in 2021. He has two top-10s from the first three races, and last fall at Las Vegas he equaled his previous best finish at the track with a 13th-place run. He will start eighth on Saturday, which could offer him a platform to grab another top-10. Landon Cassill slots into the final selection in this lineup with a 14th-place starting position this Saturday. He has five series starts at Las Vegas and was 19th at Homestead last week.

Justin Allgaier has had a slow start to the season, but Las Vegas could be a place he turns that around. He has never won at the track, but his record of top-10 finishes there is impressive. From 13 track starts he has six top-fives and 11 top-10s with an average result of 8.2. Harrison Burton finished fifth and ninth at Las Vegas last season and will start 22nd this week. He has two top-10 finishes already this season and will be looking to overcome last week's blown engine. Starting sixth is Justin Haley, who has an average finish of 11.8 from four series Las Vegas starts. He finished ninth and sixth the last two weeks, and will be aiming for his third Las Vegas top-10 this week. Jeffrey Earnhardt showed some pace last week at Homestead, and his 30th-place starting position could open the door to positive finish differential points along with a top-20 result this week. His price and starting position make him a driver with the potential to outperform this week. Brandon Brown's 25th-place starting spot also gives him the chance to outperform fantasy expectations this week. He hasn't finished worse than 17th at Las Vegas in four series starts and should be a confident top-15 selection. Finishing out this week's selections is Jade Buford, who will look to repeat his top-20 finish from last week. This will be his seventh series start and first at Las Vegas.
