Caoimhin Kelleher
27-Year-Old
Brentford
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Kelleher had been the long-term backup for Liverpool, starting 10 games each of the last two seasons. He now gets the chance to be an unquestioned starter after making the switch to Brentford to replace Mark Flekken. Kelleher has shown plenty of potential as a backup, keeping four clean sheets and only conceding 12 goals in 10 matches last season. Brentford don't have the most rigid defense, conceding 57 goals last season, which means Kelleher could be busy for the Bees. Last season, Flekken made a ridiculous 153 saves to go with seven clean sheets. It's unclear how he will handle the heavy shot volume, but Kelleher has been one of the better backups in the Premier League and is at the very least an intriguing option as a starter.
Eight saves against Bournemouth
Kelleher made eight saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 4-1 victory against AFC Bournemouth.
ANALYSIS
Kelleher delivered an excellent performance in Saturday's win over Bournemouth, recording a season-high eight saves to limit his side to just one goal conceded. The goalkeeper has been heavily tested this season, allowing him to rack up saves but making clean sheets hard to come by, as reflected by his two shutouts in 16 Premier League appearances. The Irishman, who has made 17 saves across his last five matches, will look to maintain his strong form against Tottenham on Thursday.
