Gibbs-White continued as the main playmaker for Nottingham Forest in the 2024/25 season, a role he seems unlikely to give up as the connection between defense and attack. Gibbs-White should be alright for Wednesday's clash against Wolves although he has been dealing with a back issue since last week and was rested for the Malmo game midweek before starting against Brighton on Sunday and being forced off late, coach Sean Dyche said in a press conference, according to the Nottingham Post. "I think he will be alright. It is too early yet but I think he will be alright. Morgan had a stiff back and he was unsure in the build-up to the (Malmo) game. We rested him. After the first 20, I thought he looked much more fluid again. To be fair to him, he has hardly trained this week but he felt he was right to go and play."

Hopefully it is settling down," Dyche said when asked about Gibbs-White's chances of playing over the weekend. "It is like a bad back, a bit of a waking-up sort of injury - one of those ones where you sleep funny or twist funny. At this stage, we are not expecting it to be too serious and it is settling down already. We're hopeful he will be right for the weekend."
