Pitcher
Danny Duffy, KC at BAL ($8,900) - Duffy hasn't been the strikeout artist we saw in 2016 but could notch a few punchouts against the Orioles, as they have struck out 24 percent of the time against southpaws this season. The 28-year-old has kept teams at bay with his changeup (6.1 RAA), a pitch Baltimore has logged a bottom-5 RAA against.
Mike Clevinger, CLE at BOS ($7,800) - Clevinger has had some trouble on the road this season, but we will happily take the reduced price in what appears to be a solid matchup. The right-hander has notched a 4.8 RAA with his slider, while the Red Sox are a bottom-5 team against the pitch. Clevinger owns a 13.3 percent swinging strike rate, which puts him in the company of pitchers like Zack Greinke and Chris Archer when it comes to getting whiffs.
Catcher
Mike Zunino, SEA at TEX ($3,500) - Cole Hamels has thrown the ball better of late, but is still struggling to find his strikeout pitch, and has allowed a 39 percent hard contact rate to right-handed hitters. This seems like the perfect type of matchup for a free swinger like Zunino, who has tallied a .250 ISO and a 41 percent hard contact rate over 56 at-bats against his opposite hand.
First Base
Justin Smoak, TOR at CWS ($4,900) - Smoak is putting the finishing touches on a season that has seen him tally a 21.3 RAA against the fastball to go along with a .292 ISO against right-handed pitching. James Shields has allowed a .644 slugging percentage and a 38.6 percent hard contact rate against left-handed hitters across 23 innings.
Second Base
Jose Ramirez, CLE at BOS ($5,100) - Doug Fister has been hit hard by lefties in 2017, as evidenced by his .614 slugging percentage allowed over 10.1 innings. Meanwhile, Ramirez has tallied a .261 ISO and a .398 wOBA against righty pitchers across 253 at-bats.
Third Base
Mike Moustakas, KC at BAL ($4,300) - Moustakas has consistently been one of the best bargains of the year against righties, against whom he has notched a .304 ISO in 263 at-bats. Ubaldo Jimenez's fastball has registered a -15.1 RAA this season. He has allowed a .632 slugging percentage against left-handed hitters.
Shortstop
Elvis Andrus, TEX vs. SEA ($4,700) - Felix Hernandez has allowed a .615 slugging percentage on the road this season, which has contributed to a 5.00 ERA over 18.0 innings. Andrus' batting average has slipped a bit in July, but he is having his best raw power month of 2017, as we can see from his .211 ISO in 95 at-bats.
Outfield
Khris Davis, OAK vs. SF ($4,600) - Davis has kept a .300 ISO against same-handed pitchers in 2017 while registering a 10.5 RAA against the fastball. Opposing starter Matt Cain's heater has clocked in at -11.2 RAA. It is also worth noting that he has struck out just 12 percent of the right-handed batters he has faced this season.
Derek Fisher, HOU vs. TB ($3,700) - Fisher has hit the ball well during his second stint with the big club in 2017. He now holds a .556 slugging percentage and a .406 wOBA over 27 at-bats against righties. Alex Cobb has kept mediocre strikeout and walk rates against left-handers, which has contributed to a 5.00 xFIP.
Brian Goodwin, WAS at MIA ($4,500) - Goodwin has been a surprising source of power for the Nationals this season, as he has notched a .256 ISO across 203 at-bats. Jose Urena has put up solid surface numbers but is the owner of a massive 6.54 xFIP against lefties.
