PITCHER
Jose Quintana, CWS at NYY ($10,600): Quintana has scored between 21.3 and 33.3 fantasy points in five of his seven starts, and no fewer than 17.3 overall this season. He's been dominating all comers, currently sporting a 1.38 ERA and 0.99 WHIP, while holding opposing hitters to a .217/.257/.289 line and only one home run. The Yankees' bats have largely struggled, and their current .235 team batting average is the third-lowest in the American League. They also sport the seventh-lowest wOBA against lefties (.298).
Aaron Nola, CIN at PHI ($9,500): Nola is putting together a serviceable season for the Phillies, scoring between 22.2 and 32.0 fantasy points in five of his seven starts while amassing a sparkling 0.85 WHIP and solid 3.13 ERA. He's also recorded at least six strikeouts in all but one start, and he now takes on a Reds squad that checks in with the fourth-lowest wOBA (.293) in the majors and third-highest strikeout rate (23.0 percent) against right-handed pitching in the National League. Cincinnati has also been blanked 12 times this year, tied for second-most in the majors
CATCHER
Welington Castillo, SF at ARI ($3,700): Castillo has four double-digit fantasy point efforts in his last 10 games and is slashing .301/.341/.540 this season. He's enjoyed some success against Giants starter Jake Peavy as well over a limited sample, going .500 (3-for-6) with a homer, RBI and a walk. Peavy has been hit hard this year, but all seven homers he's given up have been to right-handed hitters. He's also yielded a .411 wOBA to righties that rises to .536 when facing them away from the pitcher-friendly confines of AT&T Park.
FIRST BASE
Eric Hosmer, KC vs. ATL ($4,600): Hosmer is having a stellar season at the plate overall, and owns a .425 wOBA and 40.5 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching over 106 plate appearances. He's also scored between eight and 18 fantasy points in six of his last seven games, and Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz has surrendered a .518 wOBA and 41.2 percent hard contact rate to the 21 lefty hitters he's faced this year. His career numbers indicate a long-term problem, as he's allowed a .420 wOBA against them over a 258-batter sample.
SECOND BASE
Jonathan Schoop, BAL vs. DET ($3,700): Schoop is considerably cheaper than some of the shinier options at second base, and he makes for a nice cost-savings pivot from some of those selections against the homer-prone Anibal Sanchez. Schoop has had some success in a limited sample against Sanchez, hitting .375 (3-for-8) with a double and RBI. He has shown his upside recently, scoring 17 and 22 fantasy points in two of his last 10 games, and he has scored five to seven fantasy points in five other games over that span. He has hit four of his five homers this season against righties, and Sanchez has surrendered a .356 wOBA to right-handed bats, along with four of his six homers he's allowed.
THIRD BASE
Trevor Plouffe, MIN at CLE ($3,300): Third base shapes up as another position with plenty of options on the large slate, but we'll go with Plouffe at a value price and with a favorable track record against Indians starter Corey Kluber. The Twins slugger and former Cy Young winner have a long history, with Plouffe amassing a .308 average (12-for-39) with two doubles, three homers and 10 RBI. Plouffe also has all three homers this season against righties, and Kluber has given up a 31 percent hard contact rate to right-handed bats this year.
SHORTSTOP
Aledmys Diaz, STL at LAD ($3,100): When you can nab a player slashing .387/.415/.685 at $3,100, you click and move on, particularly when a matchup with the shaky Scott Kazmir is also part of the deal. Diaz continues to be priced considerably below his production, considering he's tallied double-digit fantasy points in five of his last 10 games, and between five and eight in three others over that span. The rookie shortstop also has a .398 wOBA against southpaws, while Kazmir has surrendered a .369 wOBA and seven homers to the 116 right-handed batters he's faced this season.
OUTFIELD
Hunter Pence, SF at ARI ($4,300): Pence has owned D-Backs starter Patrick Corbin, hitting .476 (10-for-21) with three doubles, a triple, three homers, seven RBI and a pair of walks against him. Corbin is surrendering a .364 wOBA to right-handed bats, including a .420 wOBA and 45.8 percent hard contact rate to them at Chase Field. This game has one of the highest run projections on the slate given the park factor and the starting duo of Corbin and Jake Peavy, furthering Pence's appeal.
Melky Cabrera, CWS at NYY ($3,500): Cabrera has amassed a .583/.615/1.167 line against Yankees starter Ivan Nova over 12 career at-bats, with a double, two homers, four RBI and a walk. Cabrera has a .337 wOBA against right-handed pitching, and Nova has surrendered a .348 wOBA, 38.5 percent hard contact rate, and 4.69 xFIP to lefty bats in 2016.
Matt Holliday, STL at LAD ($3,700): There are plenty of favorable BvP numbers in the outfield on Saturday's slate, including a somewhat sneaky contrarian option in Giancarlo Stanton versus Stephen Strasburg. However, we'll save a few bucks with Holiday, who's tormented Dodgers starter Scott Kazmir throughout the course of their careers. Holiday has slashed .444/.545/1.111 against Kazmir over nine at-bats, with a pair of solo homers and two walks. He's also shown an immense ceiling in recent games, scoring 40 and 28 fantasy points in two of his last four contests. We've already established Kazmir's struggles against righties overall, and Holliday has a .390 wOBA, .199 ISO and 38.6 percent hard contact rate against southpaws through his 12-plus major league seasons.
