Closer Watch
Pittsburgh Pirates – Over his last two appearances (June 22 and 24) Melancon managed to lock down two saves, but he did give up three earned runs on five hits over those two games. It's nothing to be too concerned about right now, but worth watching if Melancon has trouble settling down in his ninth inning appearances. It's not a bad idea to pick up set-up man Tony Watson just in case, who happens to be sporting a ridiculously good 5-0 record with a 0.76 ERA and 1.04 WHIP. Plus, you have to love Watson's ability to strike out hitters (45 K in 35.7 IP).

Recommended Pickup
Mike Zunino, C, SEA– Over the last week, Zunino has been one of the hottest hitters in the game with four homers over his last five games played. He has also raised his batting average from .217 to .231, going 7-for-20 (.350) with six runs and five RBI in the process. I'm not saying Zunino will keep this sort of play up from here on out, but if you need a short-term fill at catcher go ahead and snag him while he's scorching hot. Zunino certainly has the talent to be more than a short-term option for you considering his skill set and quick ascent through the Mariners' farm system, especially if you need the power. Zunino has a great shot of hitting 25 homers this season assuming his contact rate continues to swing up in the right direction. Not too shabby, eh?
Other Recent Recommendations :Colby Rasmus, Alex Wood, Rubby De La Rosa, Chris Johnson, Adam Eaton and Steve Pearce.
