Nick Whalen: This play is pretty simple. Even with the regular slew of bench injuries for Miami, the Heat should be in great shape with no LeBron James or Anthony Davis for the Lakers. The Lakers have lost by double-digits in each of James' last three absences, including a 26-point defeat at the hands of the Suns on Dec. 19.

My bigger beef is DeAndre Ayton too often plays soft with "only" 9.4 boards per game despite no real Phoenix power forward fighting him for boards. Allen should double-double.
