Hornets and 76ers Meet Set for Conference Clash
The Charlotte Hornets take on the Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night.

The Hornets (17-50) continue to play out the string on a disappointing season, and they'll enter Saturday's contest having dropped eight of their last 10 games. Their most recent stumble came Friday night, when they fell to the Phoenix Suns by a 107-96 score. Vasilije Micic led the Hornets with 21 points, complementing them with three assists, one rebound and one block. Grant Williams posted 20 points, six boards, one assist and one steal. Miles Bridges generated a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double that included three assists. Brandon Miller registered 14 points, four boards, one assist, two steals and one block. Tre Mann compiled 12 points, seven assists, four rebounds and one steal.

The Hornets are expected to be without LaMelo Ball (ankle), Cody Martin (ankle), Bryce McGowens (knee), Seth Curry (ankle) and Mark Williams (back) for Saturday's game.

The 76ers (36-30) are very much in the thick of the postseason conversation in the Eastern Conference, but they're seeing their positioning worsen by the game with five losses in their last six contests. Their most recent defeat came Thursday night, when they dropped a 114-105 decision to the Milwaukee Bucks. Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 30 points, adding four rebounds and four assists. Tobias Harris delivered 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block. Cameron Payne tallied 13 points, two assists and one rebound. Kyle Lowry collected 12 points and two boards.

The 76ers are expected to continue without Joel Embiid (knee), Robert Covington (knee) and De'Anthony Melton (back) for Saturday's game. Harris (ankle) will carry a questionable tag.

Saturday's game marks the fourth and final meeting between the teams this season. The 76ers hold a 3-0 series lead.
