Happy Thanksgiving! As with every year, we have a three games of football, allowing us to watch games for practically the entire day. Not every matchup is the best (staring at you, Bears/Lions), but the best way to make that game relevant and worth watching is to join a few contests on FanDuel. Let's see who looks good while you eat and then digest.
QUARTERBACK
Josh Allen ($8,800) will be the chalk pick, and with Trevor Siemian ($7,000) and Tim Boyle ($6,200) the lowest prices, it's easy to see why he'll be the chalk. The Dallas game is interesting for GPPs as Dak Prescott ($8,200) and Derek Carr ($7,400) are both able to outscore Allen and save you some salary cap space. Carr is my preferred option between the two, given the savings and injury statuses of the Dallas receiving corps.
RUNNING BACK
Do I want to use up a lot of salary cap space at this position this week? The answer is absolutely not. It looks like Alvin Kamara ($9,000) will be limited even if he's active. D'Andre Swift ($8,000) isn't the worst option, but you'd have to think the Bears will crowd and line in an effort to make Tim Boyle beat them. David Montgomery ($7,500) is the first player I've talked about here that I'd put into my cash game lineup. His over/under for rushing yards is around 80, and he's good for a few targets in the passing game.
The late game Thursday night really peaks my interest when looking for bargains. Unfortunately, we don't know if one of the Bills running backs will be inactive, but I love Matt Breida ($5,300) if either Moss or Singletary are out. On the other side of the ball, there's a decent chance both Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram ($6,600) don't play in this one. Enter Tony Jones ($4,800), who doesn't have a great matchup but could be a great value considering his low salary cap hit. The volume could be there for Jones even if the efficiency isn't.
WIDE RECEIVER
Stefon Diggs ($8,300) will make some of my tournament lineups, but I'm on the fence with his matchup against Marshon Lattimore for cash games. The Dallas receiving corps is confusing, as CeeDee Lamb as of Wednesday looks like he'll be on track to play despite being put in the concussion protocol Sunday. If he ends up being out, Michael Gallup ($6,500) would be an attractive cash option while Cedrick Wilson ($5,600) would be worth considering for GPPs.
My favorite value play of the week is Hunter Renfrow (6,200). While he had an off week last week (5.5 fantasy points) he had at least eight targets in five of his previous game and is averaging double-digit fantasy points on the season.
TIGHT END
Darren Waller ($7,300) can easily fit into most lineups this week with the value at the other positions, and has the second-best matchup of any tight end starter, as the Cowboys rank 23rd against the position. The best matchup for any tight end goes to Dalton Schultz (Raiders are 27th against the position), and while the Raiders' corners haven't been good at defending the pass, the linebackers have. Food for thought (no pun intended), using both Schultz and Blake Jarwin in a lineup would be a good contrarian play.
It seems like a long time ago, but Dawson Knox ($5,300) has five touchdowns and obviously has a good red zone rapport with Josh Allen. I think he's the best option if you're looking to save some salary cap space Thursday.
DEFENSE
The obvious play here this week is the Chicago Bears ($5,000) who welcome Tim Boyle and company to town. Given some of the values this week, it's pretty easy to fit them into your lineup, and the Bills ($4,500) are in play as well.
The contrarian play I like that I would only use in tournaments is the New Orleans Saints ($3,800). The Bills offense has looked out of sync, and Josh Allen has been turnover prone (five interceptions, one fumble) over his last three games.
