Terrell has gone two straight seasons without missing a game and playing at least 1,000 defensive snaps. A new scheme appeared to rejuvenate the veteran CB in 2024. Terrell snapped his two-year streak without a takeaway, recording two INTs after not having a pick or forced fumble since 2021, and his 66 tackles were his most since that same season. While Atlanta is sticking with a 3-4 scheme in 2025, they made another change at defensive coordinator, replacing Jimmy Lake with Jeff Ulbrich. Terrell signed a four-year, $81 million extension at the end of training camp last year and remains a premier cover corner. Read Past Outlooks

                                    Good to go against Buffalo
Terrell (hamstring) does not carry an injury designation into Monday's game against the Bills, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
				ANALYSIS
Terrell missed the Falcons' last two games due to a hamstring injury he sustained against the Vikings in Week 2. He received an extra week to rest and rehab from his injury thanks to the Falcons' Week 5 bye, and that extra time has enabled the 2020 first-rounder to suit up for Monday's home tilt against Buffalo. Terrell should reclaim his starting spot at outside corner opposite Mike Hughes, which will revert Dee Alford to a rotational role.

Still considered one of the best cover corners in the NFL, Terrell finished 2023 with 45 tackles and 11 pass defenses in 17 appearances. However, he's struggled to generate turnovers, totaling only one fumble recovery over the past two seasons after posting four interceptions and four forced fumbles across his first two campaigns. Terrell's worth to the franchise was displayed when he inked a four-year, $81 million extension at the end of training camp.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
    Second contract likely with ATL
The Falcons are expected to sign Terrell to a second contract, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.
				ANALYSIS
Terrell will play out the 2024 season on the fifth year of his rookie contract, setting him up to hit free agency at the close of the campaign. Kendall suggests that a deal will get done to extend the cornerback's time in Atlanta, though the sticking point could be the value of the contract. Terrell is likely to try to get something close to the top of the market at his position, which is currently around $21 million per year. That's a price that Atlanta may not be willing to meet due to his inconsistency.
