2025 Fantasy Outlook
Conner saw his role expand in 2024, his second year as a pro. He also shifted from primarily free safety to a slot cornerback role, and he was targeted heavily by opposing quarterbacks. Conner didn't necessarily stand out for his performance on the field, as he allowed a 98.4 passer rating against and also allowed the third-most yards after catch among corners (395), per PFF. The emergence of Jaden Hicks at free safety likely means Conner will be limited to the clot corner role once again. That sets 2025 up to be a pivotal season for Conner, as he could establish himself as a key to the Chiefs' defense or find himself without a role part way through the campaign. Read Past Outlooks
Leads KC with 10 tackles
Conner finished Friday's 27-21 loss to the Chargers with 10 tackles (seven solo) and a forced fumble.
ANALYSIS
Conner made his impact felt late in the first quarter when he punched the ball out of Tyler Conklin's hands, though the Chiefs couldn't pounce on the opportunity after the ball was illegally knocked out of bounds by Ladd McConkey. Conner led all defenders in tackles Friday and reached double-digit takedowns in a regular-season game for the second time in his three-year NFL career. The 2023 fourth-rounder will need to be at his best in Week 2 when the Chiefs host the Eagles on Sunday, Sept. 14 in a Super Bowl LIX rematch.

Conner played in all 17 regular-season games for the Chiefs as a rookie in 2023, though he logged more snaps on special teams (329) than on defense (292). His playing time on defense increased late in the campaign and into the postseason, however, and Conner's best game came in Kansas City's AFC Divisional Round playoff win against Buffalo, when he played every defensive snap and logged a season-high 10 tackles in addition to forcing a fumble. Conner should be a prominent part of the Chiefs' secondary from Week 1 of the coming campaign, as he's the early favorite for the starting job at nickel corner.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Intriguing option in KC
Conner is expected to play every secondary position for the Chiefs in 2024, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Conner played a versatile role during his five years at Virginia Tech, picking off a total of four passes while also tallying 7.5 sacks. He played a significant role on special teams as a rookie for the Chiefs in 2023, but he could find more time in the secondary in 2024. The safety positions in particular look to be a weakness, so that could ultimately be where Conner settles in, giving him the chance to both rack up tackles and potentially interceptions.
