Kendre Miller

21-Year-Old Running BackRB
New Orleans Saints
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Miller is arguably the wild card of the 2023 rookie running back class, both in terms of his prospect profile and his landing spot. Injury prevented Miller (5-11, 215) from pre-draft testing, leaving pertinent details such as size-adjusted speed unanswered and making it more difficult to contextualize his spectacular production at TCU. Miller averaged 6.7 yards on 361 college carries, including 1,399 yards and 17 touchdowns on 224 carries last season, but with only 29 catches in 33 games. The Saints were confident enough to draft him in the third round, though it's unclear how soon they might give him playing time with Alvin Kamara and free-agent acquisition Jamaal Williams around. Kamara's three-game suspension to open the season creates an opportunity, though it would probably be better for Miller if his teammate missed time later in the season once the rookie was more familiar with the playbook and his assignments. Even so, Miller could be involved early on, which would give him a chance to earn further playing time after Kamara's return Week 4. Read Past Outlooks

Leading rusher in Week 18 win
RBNew Orleans Saints
January 7, 2024
Miller posted 13 rushes for 73 yards and one touchdown and caught his only target for six yards during Sunday's 48-17 win over the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Miller made the most of his first game since the Week 9 win against Chicago, as he logged season highs across the board to go along with the first rushing touchdown of his career. The Saints were without starting running back Alvin Kamara (ankle), who was inactive. As a result, the team turned to veteran backup Jamaal Williams and Miller. The rookie running back got off to a strong start with a three-yard rushing score in the second quarter on just his fourth carry of the game, and he finished with a team high in rushing yards despite logging one fewer carry than Williams. New Orleans was eliminated from playoff contention despite winning Week 18; therefore, Miller finishes his 2023 rookie campaign with 41 carries for 156 yards and a touchdown.

Excited for debut
RBNew Orleans Saints

Miller noted Thursday that he "feels good to be back" after missing the first two games of the season with a hamstring injury, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Miller sustained a hamstring injury toward the end of training camp and couldn't return to practice in limited fashion until Sept. 14. With Alvin Kamara out until Week 4 while serving a suspension, the Saints' backfield has struggled in its production with no running back logging at least 50 rushing yards across two contests. In fact, it was tight end/quarterback Taysom Hill who led the Saints' rushing attack in Week 2 with 75 yards on nine carries against the Panthers, though Tony Jones was able to score two touchdowns after Jamaal Williams left the game with a hamstring injury. Miller is expected to split carries with Jones after Williams was ruled out for Week 3 against the Packers. With a 6-foot, 200-pound frame, Miller is expected to bring a punishing running style that helped him rack up 1,399 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns in his final season at TCU.
