Kendre Miller

Miller is arguably the wild card of the 2023 rookie running back class, both in terms of his prospect profile and his landing spot. Injury prevented Miller (5-11, 215) from pre-draft testing, leaving pertinent details such as size-adjusted speed unanswered and making it more difficult to contextualize his spectacular production at TCU. Miller averaged 6.7 yards on 361 college carries, including 1,399 yards and 17 touchdowns on 224 carries last season, but with only 29 catches in 33 games. The Saints were confident enough to draft him in the third round, though it's unclear how soon they might give him playing time with Alvin Kamara and free-agent acquisition Jamaal Williams around. Kamara's three-game suspension to open the season creates an opportunity, though it would probably be better for Miller if his teammate missed time later in the season once the rookie was more familiar with the playbook and his assignments.
