The third-year linebacker's first full season as a starter was a mixed bag, as Hoecht put up 6.0 sacks and 81 tackles along with his first two career passes defensed, but he also struggled as a pass rusher. Jared Verse's selection in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft likely will spell the end of Hoecht's time as a starting linebacker, but he still provides valuable, experienced depth in a very young Rams defense and should be the first man up if Verse or Byron Young were to miss any time.
