2025 Fantasy Outlook
Bonitto had a stellar 2024 campaign, finishing his third season with career highs in total tackles (48) and sacks (13.5). The 25-year-old also scored his first two touchdowns of his young career last season. A rising defensive star in the league, Bonitto is coming off a Pro Bowl and All-Pro season and is heading into a contract year in 2025. The Broncos will likely do their best to retain the linebacker, as he has the skill set to be a true game-changer for the team's defense for years to come. Read Past Outlooks
Back at practice
Bonitto (foot) participated in Tuesday's training camp practice, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Bonitto had a bone spur removed from his foot last week, ultimately forcing him to miss last week's practices and be sidelined for Denver's second preseason game against the Cardinals. Tuesday's practice marked his first time back with the team following the procedure. The 25-year-old is currently in negotiations with the Broncos for a contract extension. According to Kosmider, Bonitto said Tuesday there "has been good communication on both sides." Following up a season in which he posted a career high 13.5 sacks, the veteran linebacker should continue to be a key piece of a formidable defense in 2025.

The 25-year-old edge rusher gained some additional leverage in his negotiations when Kansas City handed George Karlaftis a four-year, $93 million deal over the weekend, but Bonitto doesn't seem to be in any rush to get a new contract signed. After recording a career-high 13.5 sacks over 17 regular-season games last season, the 2022 second-round pick has one more year remaining on his rookie deal.
