2025 Fantasy Outlook
A fifth-round pick in 2024 out of Marshall, Ali didn't get his first offensive snap in the NFL until Week 15 as Derrick Henry dominated the Baltimore backfield, and Justice Hill proved to be a more than capable backup. Ali's speed is intriguing and he saw some action as a kickoff returner, but it's not clear what he can do that a healthy Keaton Mitchell can't do better. Ali could struggle to win a regular spot on the gameday roster in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
In line to make roster
Ali rushed the ball 19 times for 62 yards in Saturday's 31-13 preseason win over the Cowboys. He added one reception on two targets for 10 yards.
ANALYSIS
Ali suffered an undisclosed injury during the Ravens' first preseason contest but was able to return Saturday. He drew the start with Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell (hamstring) all sitting and led the team with 19 carries. Most importantly, coach John Harbaugh said following the contest that the team would carry four running backs into the regular season, meaning Ali is very likely to make the roster, per Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Ali would have been an excellent addition under former Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman, but it's not quite as clear how the 206-pound former track athlete fits into Todd Monken's scheme. The fifth-round pick out of Marshall put up big numbers in 2021 and 2023, combining for 2,536 rushing yards, 40 total TDs and 73 receptions between the two seasons, with his speed allowing him to take full advantage when blockers opened up big holes. On the other hand, Ali didn't show much of a knack for breaking tackles or working through traffic, and injuries limited him to three games in 2022. A torn biceps suffered at the Senior Bowl prevented him from doing predraft workouts, leaving some questions unanswered as he heads to Baltimore to compete for a depth role behind Derrick Henry.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Playing for roster spot
Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic lists Ali as one of 10 players on the roster bubble heading into the Ravens' second preseason game against the Cowboys on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Ali was the Ravens' fifth-round selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, and the running back out of Marshall appeared in just six regular-season games in his rookie campaign. The uncertainty around his roster spot comes down to whether the Ravens elect to carry four running backs on the 53-man roster or if they go with a three-man backfield with six wideouts and 10 offensive linemen. A strong performance on offense and special teams over the Ravens' last two games would give Ali a better shot at making the roster heading into Week 1.
