Bigsby bounced back from his nightmarish 2023 rookie season with a competent showing in 2024, and, in doing so, established himself as a starting candidate for the Jaguars in 2025. That said, Bigsby's fantasy upside is limited by the likelihood he remains a no-go for passing downs. His 477 NFL snaps have yielded just eight receptions for 60 yards on 16 targets, and even as a pure runner, Bigsby is probably no better than average by starting-RB standards. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry last year, but his rushing production was heavily front-weighted -- 5.8 YPC in Weeks 1-8 (493 yards, four TDs) and 3.3 YPC from Week 9 on (273 yards, three TDs). Bigsby offers a power element that Travis Etienne cannot, but Etienne is better at everything else, and now they'll both have to hold off rookie fourth-round pick Bhayshul Tuten, who ran a 4.32 40 at 206 pounds. ANALYSIS
Saquon Barkley left early in the fourth quarter with a groin injury, and Bigsby did most of his damage as the Eagles put the game to bed. It was still a very impressive performance from the former Jaguar, who came into the afternoon with just 23 rushing yards on the season between Jacksonville and Philly while being primarily used as a kickoff returner. The Eagles get a well-timed Week 9 bye, so Barkley may not miss any further action, but if he's not ready to return for a Week 10 clash with the Packers, Bigsby could find himself handling a very significant role in the offense.

The Jaguars keep talking about how they want to limit Travis Etienne's workload, and last year the front office backed it up by using a third-round pick on Bigsby, who then scored two goal-line TDs within the first three weeks but didn't have much luck gaining yards otherwise. A pair of lost fumbles in the first half of the season didn't help the rookie's cause, and he ultimately had just three games all year with more than three carries. Bigsby averaged 2.6 YPC on his 50 carries -- even worse than Etienne's 3.8 average behind a struggling offensive line -- and caught one pass for four yards on six targets. The Jaguars are again openly discussing their desire to limit wear and tear on Etienne, but Bigsby's poor rookie season means he'll likely have to compete for backup roles with D'Ernest Johnson and fifth-round pick Keilan Robinson.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
    Likely headed for return role
Bigsby is expected to be used mainly as a kick returner after being acquired by the Eagles from the Jaguars on Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
				ANALYSIS
The third-year running back saw only five carries in Week 1 with Jacksonville while working behind Travis Etienne, and his role on offense isn't likely to change much in Philly with Saquon Barkley now ahead of him on the depth chart. The Eagles' current No. 2 back, Will Shipley, suffered a rib injury in the team's season opener Thursday, however, and Shipley was the primary kickoff returner for the team. Bigsby is expected to handle those duties in the short term and then compete with Shipley for backup work behind Barkley once the backfield is fully healthy.
