2024 Fantasy Outlook
Legette could reasonably be described as a rich man's Jonathan Mingo, so consider it a fun twist of fate that the two bulky wideouts will now be teammates after Carolina took Legette with the 32nd overall pick. Much like his new teammate, Legette didn't do much until the very end of his college career, disappointing as a four-star recruit at South Carolina prior to exploding for 71-1,255-7 his senior year. A Mingo comp made even more sense after the 2024 Combine, where Legette put up a 4.39 40-yard dash, 40-inch vertical and 126-inch broad jump at 6-1, 221. The comparison ends once we talk about their breakout senior seasons, as Legette's was truly monstrous and came at a clip of 12.9 YPT, whereas Mingo had 9.4 YPT and didn't even lead his Ole Miss team in catches or receiving yards. Mingo then had a brutal rookie season, setting up Legette with an excellent chance to step right into a top-three role alongside veteran WRs Diontae Johnson and Adam Thielen. Neither of those guys poses much of a threat downfield, and the Panthers probably need to add some vertical component in order for new coach Dave Canales to salvage QB Bryce Young. It's a nice opportunity for one of the more divisive WR prospects in the 2024 class, though perhaps not enough to convince detractors who are wary of Legette's late breakout and advanced age (23) as well as the typical fluidity concerns associated with receivers his size. Finds end zone in Sunday's loss
Legette caught four of seven targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-14 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
The rookie wideout opened the scoring by grabbing a six-yard strike from Bryce Young in the first quarter. Legette has gotten into the end zone three times in the last five games, but he's managed only 16 catches for 134 yards on 25 targets over that stretch. Carolina's passing game is likely to be in flux in the second half of the season as coach Dave Canales sorts out his QB situation and the front office decides whether or not to trade away Diontae Johnson (ribs) and/or Adam Thielen (hamstring), but Legette likely will see his role continue to grow as the team focuses on the development of the 32nd overall pick in the 2024 Draft.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be Panthers' WR1 on Sunday
Legette could serve as the Panthers' No. 1 wideout for Sunday's game against the Commanders due to Diontae Johnson being listed as questionable with multiple injuries, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Johnson has played through an ankle injury for the past two games, but he is also working through hamstring and rib issues, making him a true game-time decision ahead of a 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday. If Johnson can't suit up, Legette would step into the top wideout spot in the offense while Jalen Coker, Jonathan Mingo and tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders would also see increased looks in the passing game from quarterback Andy Dalton. Through the first six regular-season games of his rookie year, Legette has caught 16 passes on 25 targets for 174 yards and two touchdowns.
