With a seven-game slate Thursday, there's plenty of intriguing options to look at for your lineups. Here are some recommendations…
Goalie
Charlie Lindgren, MTL vs MIN ($7,700): So far, so good for Lindgren in two starts. He has two wins with a .971 save percentage after stopping 67 of 69 shots. With the Canadiens building some momentum and Lindgren playing well, he's a nice value option in a great spot to pick up another win against a Wild squad that looked out of sorts Wednesday in Toronto.
Center
Brayden Schenn, STL vs ARI ($6,500): Schenn is on the higher-priced side of value options, but the Coyotes have been the league-wide punching bag early on this season, and Schenn has been hot of late. He has points in three of his last four games with one goal and seven assists over that span. He skates on the first line with Vladimir Tarasenko and Jaden Schwartz, as well as on the power play — where Schenn was one of the most productive players in the league last season in Philly.
Valtteri Filppula, PHI vs CHI ($4,300): Spending time between the second and third lines so far, Filppula has six goals and three assists. He's seeing an average of 16 minutes of ice time and is a low-risk option based on his price.
Wing
Alex Steen, STL vs ARI ($5,400): Steen is another Blue that is a bit underpriced considering the matchup. He's played in 10 games after missing the start of the season due to injury, but he's still managed a goal and five assists. With an average of 18 minutes and 2.4 shots on goal per game, Steen offers a solid floor with nice upside in a great matchup.
Jakob Silfverberg, ANA vs VAN ($4,700): The Ducks are devastated by injuries, but so far Silfverberg has been able to avoid missing time. The fact he only has six points (two goals, four assists) in 15 games has depressed his price, but he's seeing more ice time lately and averaging five shots on goal over his last three contests.
Alex DeBrincat, CHI at PHI ($4,200): With three goals and four assists, DeBrincat has seen time skating alongside Jonathan Toews on the first line, as well as seeing time on the top power-play unit. He's cheap and should easily make value here.
Defense
Hampus Lindholm, ANA vs VAN ($4,300): With Cam Fowler out, Lindholm has stepped in to anchor the top pairing and run the point on the power play. He's seeing a ton of ice time, including 30-plus minutes in his last game and over 24 in his previous four. He offers good upside at a discounted price given his offensive skillset.
T.J. Brodie, CGY vs DET ($4,600): Brodie is once again one of the better value plays on the slate. He has two goals and six assists while averaging over 24 minutes of ice time. Even with his steady play and upside, Brodie's salary is down to $4,600 — which is just the second time it's been that low since Oct. 19, a span of nine games.
