Goalie
Jimmy Howard, DET vs CGY ($8,000): Howard has solid with at least 20 fantasy points in four of his last five starts, including a 39.2-point monster performance against the Panthers. Howard has a .930 save percentage, good for fourth best in the NHL, as well as a ninth-best 2.35 GAA. Meanwhile, the Flames average just 2.50 goals per game on the road.
Center
Artem Anisimov, CHI vs NYR ($5,500): Anisimov has six goals and two assists on the year, including a goal and 12 shots on net in his last three games. Skating on the second line and second power-play unit, he comes in at a great price against the Rangers, who have allowed the fifth most fantasy points to centers and a whopping road GAA of 4.20.
Mikael Backlund, CGY at DET ($5,300): Backlund has points in each of his last four games (five assists) and is holding down the center position on the Flames' second line. He also sees time on the second power-play unit and is in a good spot at an affordable salary against the Red Wings, who have allowed the ninth most fantasy points to centers.
Wing
Jakob Silfverberg, ANH vs BOS ($5,300): After struggling early on, Silfverberg has picked it up of late with three goals in his last two games. His shooting volume has been there all along, as he's averaging 3.52 shots on goal per game. It was just a matter of time before the pucks starting hitting the back of the net, and now that they are, consider him a top value winger on this slate.
Brandon Saad, CHI vs NYR ($5,800): I've always loved Saad's game and thought it was a great move for the Blackhawks to bring him back this season. He started off on fire, then cooled off for a spell when he went scoreless in six straight games. He ended that slump two games ago with a goal and will look to carry the momentum into this matchup with the Rangers, the team that has allowed the eighth most fantasy points to left wingers.
Pavel Buchnevich, NYR at CHI ($5,900): Even at $5,900, Buchnevich, who recorded three goals and two assists in his last two games, is still a bargain. He's a high-energy player that has a good shot and makes the most of his ice time, as his 10 points in his last eight games will attest.
Defense
Mike Green, DET vs CGY ($4,700): Green is in the midst of a bounce-back season, even if his play has dropped off from his elite years. He has points in three of his last five games, all of which have been assists. This has been the trend for Green this season, as he has just one goal but 13 assists.
Hampus Lindholm, ANH vs BOS ($4,300): Lindholm has stepped in on the top defense pairing and top power-play unit in Cam Fowler's absence and has been productive. After missing some time with an injury, Lindholm has three goals and two assists in 10 games. In his last three, he has a goal, nine shots on goal, and five blocked shots. He's one of the more underrated defensemen in the league and is significantly underpriced given his upside.
