With a massive 15-game slate Wednesday, there's a ton of options to consider when building your lineup. Here are some recommendations…
Goalie
Roberto Luongo, FLA vs TOR ($7,900): Luongo continues to get the job done for the Panthers and has been exceptionally good over his last five starts. Outside of his last game in which he produced eight fantasy points, Luongo's four priors outings featured 48, 32, 27.2, and 28 fantasy points. He saw 35 or more shots in three of those games and is seeing an average of 35.9 per contest this season. He's a nice value in a game that should see a lot of uptempo skating and shots on goal from both sides. If Luongo is on and the Panthers give him some offensive support, he'll pay off his salary with ease.
Center
Vincent Trocheck, FLA vs TOR ($5,800): The Panthers are home, where they are averaging 4.22 goals per game this season, and Trocheck has been a huge part of their success. He comes in with nine goals and 12 assists, including three goals and three assists on the power play. Averaging 2.75 shots on goal per game, Trocheck also kills penalties, as he has scored two goals shorthanded. He plays big minutes and is drastically underpriced at a loaded position Wednesday.
Ryan Johansen, NSH vs MON ($5,400): I featured Johansen in Monday's article and he paid off with a goal and an assist. He has the luxury of facing the Canadiens, who have allowed the sixth most fantasy points to centers over that span. This will also be Montreal's second road game in as many nights, so we could see Antti Niemi in net for them. The Johansen, Filip Forsberg, Viktor Avidsson line is getting hot and I love the trio as a stack tonight.
Wing
Anthony Mantha, DET vs EDM ($5,600): The Oilers are another team playing their second game in as many nights on the road. Mantha is averaging three shots per game over his last three with two goals and one assist over that span. He's skating on the Red Wings' top line with Henrik Zetterberg and Gustav Nyquist of late and draws time on the power play. The matchup and salary are both in Mantha's favor, as the Oilers have allowed the ninth most fantasy points to right wingers.
Corey Perry, ANH vs VGK ($5,900): The Golden Knights are struggling defensively, which was expected to happen at some point. Perry has been hot, recording points in four of his last five games with one goal and seven assists over that span. The Perry we see these days isn't the same guy that won the Hart Trophy a few years ago, but at this price in this matchup he's worth a look.
Nino Niederreiter, MIN at BUF ($5,400): It's tough to find a hotter player in the NHL than Niederreiter right now considering his salary. He has goals in each of his last four games and furthermore has recored at least a point in nine of his last 11. He's skating on the first line with Eric Staal and Mikael Granlund and also sees time on the top power-play unit.
Defense
Jared Spurgeon, MIN at BUF ($4,800): Spurgeon has been the Wild's best defenseman from an offensive standpoint this season with three goals and 12 assists to go along with around two shots on goal per game. He has points in three of his last four and is offering some points in the blocked-shot category with 17 in his last six contests. With time on the top power-play unit, Spurgeon averages over 24 minutes of ice time.
Keith Yandle, FLA vs TOR ($4,800): Yandle is known as an offensive-minded defenseman and draws a good matchup against the Maple Leafs, who have allowed the fourth most fantasy points to the position over the last four weeks. Yandle has had success against Toronto in the past with 15 points (two goals, 13 assists) in 16 games. He's coming off of monster performance in which he had a goal, power-play assist, four shots and five blocks.
