We're a week away from Halloween, so you've still got time to put together an NHL-related costume. Perhaps you can go as something truly terrifying, like the Kings' offense. There are four games Wednesday, and here are some players you might want to stick in your daily fantasy lineup.
GOALIE
Marc-Andre Fleury, VGK vs. VAN ($8,100): Last year, Fleury stunned a lot of folks by posting a 2.24 GAA and .927 save percentage for the surprise Golden Knights. This year hasn't gone quite as well, but on the other hand he's let in two goals over his last three starts. The Canucks have averaged 3.00 goals per game, but on only 25 shots on net per contest. That will be hard, which is to say impossible, to sustain.
CENTER
Mathew Barzal, NYI at FLA ($6,500): Barzal snatched up the Calder last season by potting 85 points, including 27 on the power play. He only has one goal this year, but since he has six assists he's doing just fine. The Panthers are the one team Wednesday playing on the second night of a back-to-back, and they will likely be starting third-string goalie Michael Hutchinson in net.
Bryan Little, WPG vs. TOR ($4,800): After a slow start to the season, Little has tallied four points in his last five games. He's long been a solid secondary scoring option, as he's notched at least 42 points in his last five seasons, and that 42-point outing came in a 57-game campaign. The Maple Leafs had a solid 2.80 GAA last year, but they also allowed 33.9 shots on net per game, which put a lot of the onus on Frederik Andersen.
WING
Evgenii Dadonov, FLA at NYI ($6,500): Dadonov returned from Russia last season to make his mark with 28 goals and 65 points in 74 games. He seems quite acclimated to the NHL, as he's now on Florida's top line, as well as on their top power-play unit. The Islanders had the league's highest GAA, and worst penalty kill, last season, both of which bode well for Dadonov.
Max Pacioretty, VGK vs. VAN ($5,800): Yes, Pacioretty is off to a slow start, but he also has a 4.3 shooting percentage. That's guaranteed to improve. After all, this is a man with five 30-goal seasons to his name. Meanwhile, the Canucks had a 3.16 GAA last year, and they have the same goaltending tandem this season.
Mike Hoffman, FLA at NYI ($5,400): Hoffman isn't going to win many popularity contests, but he's got a knack with the puck on his stick. He has a five-game point streak, and he's put 22 shots on net through seven games. With the Senators, he never failed to score at least 26 goals in a season. New York allowed 35.6 shots on net per game last year, highest in the NHL, and this year that number has only dropped to 33.4.
DEFENSE
Tyson Barrie, COL vs. TAM ($5,100): The Lightning were good at many things last season, but killing penalties was not one of them. They ranked 27th in penalty-kill percentage, which will be music to Barrie's ears. He notched a whopping 30 points with the extra man last year, and he's averaged 4:21 per game on the power play to start this season.
Nick Leddy, NYI vs. FLA ($4,700): Leddy has not gotten on the scoresheet yet, but don't get too worried about it. He's put up three 40-point seasons in a row, and he's notched at least 14 power-play points in all those campaigns. The minutes are still there, as he's averaged 22:19 per game in ice time (3:29 on the power play). A matchup with a Panthers team on the road for the second game of a back-to-back could be exactly what he needs to get his scoring on track.
