Chances from this week's Setting the Table

As always, it's imperative to select players who are starting for their teams, so be sure to check the lineups page before finalizing your rosters.

Goalkeepers:

Tim Howard, EVE v. WBA ($4,000): Howard continues to be questionable due to his knee injury, but he could start if he passes fit. Without Howard, Everton has performed extremely well with consecutive clean sheets over Newcastle and Stoke. At this point in his career, Howard's return may not be of much benefit to Everton. Rumors are, this will be the last season on a 10-year tenure for the American. All of that set aside, Everton are in a prime situation for success coming against a West Brom side coming in staggered from playing 120 minutes and penalties Wednesday in the FA Cup.

Other goalkeepers to consider: Artur Boruc, BOR v. STK ($3,700); Heurelho Gomes, WAT at CRY ($3,300); Thibaut Courtois, CHE v. NEW ($4,300); Fraser Forster, SOU at SWA ($3,900)

Defenders:

Sam Byram, WHU at NOR ($2,000):Though delayed, Saturday appears to be our opportunity to finally roster Byram and do so at the minimum price. As a sub last weekend against Southampton, Byram sent in six crosses in just 29 minutes. Multiplying that by three sounds like a pretty enticing proposition at this price, doesn't it?

Charlie Daniels, BOU v. STK ($3,900): A fullback well versed in attacking in a plus matchup is good; his designation on penalties is even better. Daniels doesn't posses the best floor of a defender in this price range, but he may have the most upside.

Other defenders to consider: Leighton Baines, EVE v. WBA ($4,500); Bryan Oviedo, EVE v. WBA ($3,000); Cedric Soares, SOU at SWA ($4,500); Branislav Ivanovic, CHE v. NEW ($4,300); Erik Pieters, STK at BOU ($4,100); Adam Smith, BOU v. STK ($3,500)

Midfielders:

Matt Ritchie, BOU v. STK ($5,800): We may finally be getting a healthy Ritchie in a plus matchup. It has been awhile. However, don't underestimate how important Ritchie is to the Cherries. Designated on corners and set pieces, Ritchie provides a solid floor and considerable upside at an affordable price when compared to the top priced midfielders.

Eden Hazard, CHE v. NEW ($5,300): Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Coming into the season, Hazard was viewed as the top midfielder. 25 matches later and he is nothing but a modestly priced value play. The Belgian has yet to see a spot in the starting XI in 2016, but he may finally get his opportunity in a favorable home matchup against Newcastle. Maybe it's a predisposed bias towards Hazard that give me optimism that he still can provide the upside showcased last season, but in his 35 minutes off the bench against Manchester United he looked reasonably effective, drawing two fouls and being on the field for Diego Costa's equalizing goal. It's still hard to justify him in cash games given he has just one double-digit fantasy performance in his last 10 appearances, but Hazard may still be able to leave a meaningful stamp on this Premier League season yet.

Aaron Lennon, EVE v. WBA ($3,300): Lennon has now featured in four consecutive matches, scoring goals in three of them. This is an unsustainable pace, but as his price still hasn't risen it's hard to overlook him. However, his minus-1 fantasy point in 80 minutes against Chelsea three back showcase just how low floor his floor can be.

Other midfielders to consider: Gylfi Sigurdsson, SWA v. SOU ($6,900); Dimitri Payet, WHU at NOR ($7,700); Yohan Cabaye, CRY v. WAT ($6,000); Wilfried Zaha, CRY v. WAT ($5,100); Xherdan Shaqiri ($5,000); Willian, CHE v. NEW ($8,000); Wayne Routledge, SWA v. SOU ($3,100)

Forwards:

Diego Costa, CHE v. NEW ($6,800): With six goals in his last seven matches, and averaging 3.7 shots (1.4 on target) per match during the span, the "villain" has returned to the peak form that saw him lead Chelsea to a Premier League title last season. At Stamford Bridge against a defensively inconsistent Newcastle, Costa should be able to continue his good form.

Other forwards to consider: Benik Afobe, BOU v. STK ($4,800); Enner Valencia, WHU at NOR ($5,700); Emmanuel Adebayor, CRY v. WAT ($4,200); Troy Deeney, WAT at CRY ($5,100)
