Dream11 Fantasy Soccer: Brighton v. Manchester United Preview

This article is part of our Dream11 Fantasy Soccer series.

Game Preview

Brighton are coming off a scoreless draw at Leicester City and also secured a 2-1 win over Arsenal in their previous home match, so they have proven they can compete with almost any team in the league. Despite those occasional solid displays, they sit 15th in the table with 33 points and are just six points above the relegation zone. As such, this is not a game to become complacent based on their recent strong form. On the other hand, Manchester United enter following a thrilling 2-1 win at Norwich City in the FA Cup quarterfinals, but the Red Devils have also been very good at the league level, where they have gone undefeated in their last seven (W4, D3). It is also worth noting Manchester United have conceded just two goals in their last five in all competitions, showing solid defensive play regardless of the opponent.

Recent Form

Brighton: W1, D3, L1

Manchester United: W3, D2

Team News

OUT: Jose Izquierdo (knee)

Doubtful: Adam Webster (hamstring), Steven Alzate (groin)

Manchester United

OUT: Lee Grant (wrist), Phil Jones (undisclosed), Axel Tuanzebe (undisclosed)

Doubtful: None

Expected Lineups

Brighton: Mathew Ryan; Dan Burn, Shane Duffy, Lewis Dunk, Tariq Lamptey; Yves Bissouma, Alexis Mac Allister, Aaron Mooy, Davy Propper; Leandro Trossard; Neal Maupay

Manchester United: David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Brandon Williams; Paul Pogba, Fred; Daniel James, Bruno

Top Picks

Anthony Martial, Manchester United: Martial bagged a hat trick in United's previous Premier League match against Sheffield United, and he is currently on his best scoring season since joining Manchester United. The Frenchman has found the back of the net in five of his last seven league matches, tallying seven strikes during that span.

Marcus Rashford, Manchester United: Rashford does not have a problem if he has to play a bit deeper in support of Martial, and he set up two of the Frenchman's goals during the win over Sheffield. The England international can impact the game in a variety of ways and should be a strong captaincy play.
