Cagliari are looking to restore some pride after suffering a 2-0 loss against rivals Bologna in their last math. With only two wins in their last 10, they are slowly losing their spot for the Europa League. Cagliari will be happy at home, as they have won 21 of their 27 points at home, losing just twice in 13 games.

The visitors are running without a victory in their last four games, drawing 1-1 with Lazio last weekend. Fiorentina are heading into the clash as a must-win game to get a ticket to the Europa League, but the main issue is their defence, as they have just seven clean sheets in 27 matches. La Viola won only three games in 14 away matches while drawing seven and losing four. It will be difficult for Fiorentina to defeat Cagliari at their home, as many top teams of league failed to do so.

Fiorentina: Alban Lafont (gk), Nikola Milenkovic, German Pezzella, Vitor Hugo, Marco Benassi, Christian Norgaard, Bryan Dabo, Federico Chiesa, Gerson, Luis Muriel

Player Recommendations

Goalkeeper: Alessio Cragno (8.5 credits)

Cragno is a solid man between the sticks, and while he has kept just five clean sheets, he's conceding just 1.4 goals per home match while also averaging 4.1 saves per start.

Defender: Fabio Pisacane (8.5 credits)

Pisacan has been regular starter for Cagliari as a centre-back, averaging 4.3 clearances per games. Pisacan will have a key role to stopping all the threats that will be posed by Fiorentina forward duo Luis Muriel and Federico Chiesa.

Midfielder: Marco Benassi (9.5 credits)

Benassi is the leading goal-scorer for Fiorentina with seven goals in 22 matches. He has been impressive for La Viola this season, averaging one key pass and 0.7 shots on target per match. Though he did not score in the past two matches, he will be a key playing controlling the game in the opposition half.

Forward: Leonardo Pavoletti (10 credits)

Pavoletti is the leading goal-scorer for Cagliari and has been impressive this season with 10 goals and one assist. He will need to step up, as all matches are important to stay away from relegation.

Captain: Leonardo Pavoletti

Vice-captain: Luis Muriel
