Eddie Nketiah
26-Year-Old
Crystal Palace
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Nketiah joined Crystal Palace with plenty of promise and assumption he'd jump into the starting XI. Instead, he started just nine times in his 29 appearances, scoring three goals. He was given opportunities early in the season when he ripped shots and didn't score. From there, Ismaila Sarr became the starter and never relented. Most of Nketiah's minutes later in the season came when Jean-Philippe Mateta missed time or was rested. One thing Nketiah can say is that he takes a lot of shots when in the XI. The downside is that the goals and consistent starts rarely came, something that again will be an issue in 2025/26.

Scores heroic winner
Nketiah scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-1 win over Liverpool. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 78th minute.
ANALYSIS
Nketiah scored a heroic winner Saturday, finding the back of the net deep in second half stoppage time. The forward has struggled to earn consistent starts, but he's still a good finished with upside when he's on the pitch. Nketiah has appeared in each of the last two matches since returning from a hamstring injury that held him out to start the season.

Could return against West Ham
Nketiah (hamstring) will be sidelined for Saturday's match against Sunderland but is expected to return later this month, manager Oliver Glasner told media during his pre-match press conference Friday. "At the moment it looks like [Adam] Wharton, [Ismaïla] Sarr and [Eddie] Nketiah are available at least against Liverpool, so in two weeks. That's a great job from our medical department. Tomorrow none of them are available. Millwall, none of them is available, maybe Adam and Eddie have a chance for West Ham."

Absence extended
Nketiah will be sidelined for eight weeks due to his hamstring injury, according to manager Oliver Glasner. It is no secret that Eddie missed more or less the whole pre-season, because on the second day at the start of pre-season, he had a small injury, and now he has a more serious injury and will be out for what looks like eight weeks."

Could still leave Arsenal
Nketiah is being linked with a move to Crystal Palace before the transfer window closes Friday, according to The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Nketiah's proposed deal to Nottingham Forest broke down, but that doesn't mean the striker won't leave Arsenal this summer. Crystal Palace are open to signing the 25-year-old, but it's unclear if both teams will have enough time to get a deal done before the end of the transfer window Friday.
