2025 Fantasy Outlook
Joelinton had a few fights with injury in the 2024/25 campaign, but he started 29 matches, 14 more than the prior campaign. His physical play leads to a lot of bumps and bruises, which often leads to an absence or two throughout the season. He's never had crazy attacking numbers despite coming to Newcastle as more of a forward, but as seen in his four goals and three assists last season, he's always around to find production from the left side. It seems doubtful he'll keep his fitness for an entire campaign with Champions League to worry about, but his versatility means he's a lock to start in most games when healthy, keeping his floor fairly solid.
Scores again
Joelinton scored one goal to go with three shots (two on goal) in Wednesday's 4-3 win versus Leeds United. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 51st minute.
ANALYSIS
Joelinton scored for the second time in three outings, as he knocked in a header, assisted by Bruno Guimaraes in the 54th minute. This also marked the second time in four outings that Joelinton racked up at least three shots, while he is up to five shots on target over that span. Additionally, this marked the third time in the last four outings that he recorded multiple tackles, moving to a total of 13 tackles won on the season.

Nursing groin problem
Joelinton is nursing a groin problem he suffered against Leverkusen one week ago and will be fit only in an emergency situation, coach Eddie Howe said in a press conference, according to Keith Downie from Sky Sports. "Joelinton is nursing a groin problem. He's fit to a point, but it would only be in an emergency situation (we would use him). Defending a corner in the last few moments for example. He's training but he's maybe not executing everything normally."
