2025 Fantasy Outlook
Tavernier's 2024/25 season was once again limited by injuries after he missed a couple months between ankle and groin problems. From 29 appearances (20 starts), he netted three and created five assists, solid numbers as a key playmaker for the Cherries. His numbers were largely consistent across the board, aided by a split role of set pieces whenever on the pitch. If Tavernier can stay healthy an entire season, there's a chance he'll set career highs in the Premier League with 10 goal contributions possible, but he's yet to show he can do that across the last three campaigns.

Inks contract extension
Tavernier has signed a contract extension with AFC Bournemouth until 2029, the club announced. "Marcus is a player who always gives his all whenever he wears the shirt and is someone that we thoroughly enjoy working with. He is a popular character within the dressing room and I'm looking forward to seeing his leadership shine through over the next few seasons at AFC Bournemouth, as the demands and challenges of the Premier League remain high," AFC Bournemouth's President of Football Operations Tiago Pinto said.
ANALYSIS
Tavernier joined Bournemouth in the summer of 2022 and has made 93 appearances for the club in all competitions. His notable highlights include scoring a 25-yard winner against Fulham in April 2023 and finding the net in last season's away match at Southampton, a result that lifted Bournemouth to fifth place in the Premier League and extended their record unbeaten run in the top flight.

Could return Monday
Tavernier (ankle) is trying to return for Monday's clash with Fulham, according to manager Andoni Iraola. "We still have three days until Monday night. We will try with Justin, with Tav, with Sini. Probably from the three, Sini is the one who has less chance to arrive. We have to be careful with him but we will try."
