Est. Return 1/19/2026
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Christie was excellent throughout the 2024/25 campaign, starting almost every match he was fit for while adding five goal contributions. There was some concern that Tyler Adams would eat into his minutes, but Christie was an unquestioned starter, at least until a groin injury ended his season early. The injury isn't expected to change his starting gig for 2025/26, though if Adams and Alex Scott can remain healthy, there's a chance the consistent minutes evaporate. Christie isn't a major offensive threat, but in the right situation with set pieces, he can always impress on the score sheet.
Could return against Brighton
Christie (knee) is training at a better level this week and could be in contention for Monday's clash against Brighton, coach Andoni Iraola said in the press conference. "The only one who could recover is Ryan. He is feeling better. I hope he can be available for Monday. I think he is training at a better level than he has previously and I hope we can recover Ryan. It is still early as we still have three or four days until the game, but this is more or less the situation."
ANALYSIS
Christie has improved this week in training and is feeling better ahead of Monday's clash against the Seagulls. The midfielder will be assessed after the final training session as he could return for that game after missing the last four clashes across all competitions due to a knee injury. Christie has been only a bench option since the beginning of the season and will resume that role once available.

Needs a bit more time
Christie (knee) is out for Wednesday's match against Tottenham, according to manager Andoni Iraola. "I don't think he's going to be back tomorrow. It's a matter of feeling with him. When he tells us 'okay, I feel better, I don't feel pain when I hit the ball'. He is running and sprinting no problem but he still has some issues kicking the ball. We still need a little bit more time with him."
