                  Will miss couple of weeks
Patterson suffered a plantar facia tear in his foot and will miss a couple of weeks, coach David Moyes said in the press conference. "Patto had a plantar facia tear in his foot which he picked up against Bradford for the Under-21s. It'll probably keep him out for a couple of weeks. In that period, he's had a problem with his hernia, so we're probably going to get it tidied up while he's out."
                  ANALYSIS
Patterson suffered a foot injury while playing against Bradford for the Under-21s and is now expected to miss several weeks to recover. The defender didn't feature for the senior squad in the Premier League this season, therefore his absence won't impact the starting lineup of the Toffees.

                  Could move to Spain
Sevilla are interested in signing Patterson to a loan deal, according to Liverpool Echo.
                  ANALYSIS
Sevilla are thin at right-back right now, and the potential departure of Jose Angel Carmona could make things even more complicated for them. They're ready to make a move for a right-back with experience and able to play right away, which is why they've set their sights on Patterson. It's unclear if they'll be able to get a deal done, though.
